Life has a way of making people do things that they don't want to. Dorian, never thought that he had to seek the help of a noble. He wanted to crush them and become the ruler of the world but that appeared to be not an easy task.

To be able to rule the world, first, you have to be the strongest. Second is that you should have enough strong people supporting you. The third one is to have a lot of resources on hand.

Running a kingdom is already an expensive venture. The world would be on a whole other level. Without enough resources to satisfy the people, there would be no way to conquer the world.

Conquering the world would require an army to do so. A few strong men would not be enough to do so. Even if they were enough, they couldn't be enough to maintain the huge empire. A large army would be required to maintain such a vast empire.
