Celeste's POV
I had lied to Nathaniel telling him I wanted to be alone, after he dropped me off I insisted he didn't need to stay with me. I just wanted to be on my own to gather my thoughts with my own company.
In fact the only company I craved now was Liam Blackwell's. I missed him terribly and I craved to feel his embrace as he comforted me.
So after I watched Nathaniel's car drive away from home, I left into the night. The walk to Liam's was quite a way, but luckily the evening was dry and quite warm in the air.
Fresh air was always good to clear the cobwebs, and by the time I had reached Liam's home, my mind felt clearer than it had in a long while, since leaving the nightmare's of my family home.
After knocking on Liam's door, I waited to see the movement behind the frosted glass. I knew he was home, his car in the drive and a few lights were on inside the house.
