Chương 18: Meeting again

"Where were you?" Shizuku said with a trembling voice. Kei now had his mouth open, surprised that she really was 'Shizu-chan', although she didn't recognise him at school. But the teacher interrupted. "Aikawa, go to the bathroom and wipe your tears, I'm sorry but we have to start the lesson, you can talk during the break". So Aikawa did as the teacher said. "Kishimoto, if you find something difficult don't hesitate to tell me" is what Mr Collins said, but Kei was thinking 'If it's this much, I can do it'. In fact, in his family, his big sister and two little siblings were geniuses at an absurd level, so you can say that Kei is stupid compared to them, but that doesn't mean he is stupid. He didn't go to school until middle school (which is the reason he didn't have a lot of friends) and was being tutored by a home-teacher and his sister (obviously not from his dumb older brother or his one and two years old sister and brother). He was oblivious to the reason though (all his siblings were going to normal schools. Probably). By the way, the lesson was about business strategies. Break arrived and Shizuku approached Kei. "Hey" she said "Sorry for crying, it's just that I didn't know where you were and finally finding you here... sniff... made me cry". Kei was a bit perplexed "Don't we see each other at school?". Please, forgive him for his lack of tact. This brought Shizuku to open her eyes in horror "W-what do you mean?""We are in the same class. At first I thought it was you, but you never spoke to me, so I thought I was wrong, but I was right. Ahhh, maybe is because at school I use my mother's surname. I go with the surname 'Iwai'". Now on Shizuku's face there was a mixture of guilt and anger. "Sorry" she said, but she was thinking 'What did she do?!!!!'. Then she asked "Why do you go with that surname?""Oh, that. Well~, you know, my parents divorced and I live with my mother. In our family, I'm the only one who's not a true genius so I'm not worthy of staying there". Now on Shizuku's face there was only anger and while she was saying "Don't worry that's not true" she was thinking 'I'm sure it's her fault. I wanna punch her so badly~'. Not much girlish, I know. But then a question came to her mind: "Why are you using your surname here?". "It's a long story. You don't need to worry". But she knew that when Kei acted like this she had to worry. Last time it happened, it was the disaster that brought them not to see each other for six years. Although strangely enough, she ended up believing him. And last question: "Why do you spend your time with this guy?". "He is my friend, I think". "Hey, what's with the I think" asked Alex, who was still there. "Well. Nothing". Shizuku was even more perplexed now, and she pulled Kei from his arm to make him understand that she wanted to talk just the two of them. So Kei told that to Alex and they separated. "He is trustworthy. It's fine" Kei said. Shizuku then said " Uhhh, okay, I'll believe you, but if he does anything suspicious" and there another chill ran through Kei's spine. Shizuku instead was thinking 'That's not Kei's only friend. There was someone else right. Well, we'll see if they are trustworthy. I'll try them at school. I won't make the same mistake again'.
