After another confrontation with Esdeath, and after taking all my stuff from the house, I returned to the Night Raid base, where I found Akame and Spear training.
- Gin... - Akame wanted to say something, but considering that she always comes to me to ask for meat, I immediately shoved a piece of meat in her hands, - Thank you, but I just wanted to tell you that Lubbock and Bulat should be back in a week. While Bulat drove Spear's father to Revolutionary Army headquarters, Lubbock found out what happened to the second Night Raid squad... it was destroyed by the Fallen, just as we thought. But there was one survivor of the team that was on the mission when the Fallen attacked, so Lubbock and Bulat and this surviving member of the second squad should be arriving soon. - Akame spoke, and after a couple of seconds as if a piranha ate a piece of meat of a dangerous monster. Spear even looked at Akame with some apprehension at that moment.
- I see, I fought Esdeath today, and since she knows where I live, I can't live there anymore, so I'm going to live and work at the base from now on, I'm going to settle in.
- How was the fight? - Akame asked.
- Can't you tell? - Esdeath fights better than you, Akame. But thanks to my regeneration it's very hard to kill me... sadly, I just ran away from that ice woman, for if she tried hard enough she could still finish me off.
- Gin, train Spear for now and I'll go make dinner, you could use some training too, you rely too much on your survivability and artefacts. - Akame said and walked over to me.

I need to shoot some corrupt people who have surrounded themselves with guards because they're afraid of Night Raid, it's easier to shoot them than to sneak into their mansion. So will you help me? - Mayne asked again.
- Well, I had plans for the night, but I'll spend part of it in your company.

The second flyer had my image on it, and it said that I was wanted by General Esdeath, and she would pay a thousand gold pieces for my exact location, and ten thousand gold pieces if I was delivered to her alive. The Empire uses silver and gold coins, with one gold coin equalling fifty silver coins.
- Gin, what does Esdeath need you for that she's willing to give you gold by your weight? - Leone asked.
- Yeah, I'm surprised myself. And I just weigh a hundred kilos, one gold coin, if it is not fake, weighs ten grams, and it turns out that this woman is ready to give as much gold as I weigh. - I examined my flyer, - How many of these are hanging around the capital?
- You have more flyers than all the members of the Night Raid put together. It seems that Esdeath needs you very much, and I heard how the mercenaries decided to organise your capture to get so much gold. - replied Leone.

I had the armour about ten percent done now, but I was also making camouflage for the base, protective artifact bracelets, and I was working on an artifact for Shelly from the crystal heart of Hydra, but when Najenda told me about Teygu Esdeath, I decided to change my plan for Shelly a little. Teigu Esdeath was originally Demon Extract, a liquid similar to fresh blood that was drunk to gain ice control abilities. This Teigu was stored in a huge goblet, five litres, the more you drank of this Demon Extract the stronger your ice magic would be, but those who drank more than a hundred millilitres of it went mad, and even those who managed to get the power of this Teigu would eventually go mad. When the Prime Minister brought Esdeath to the Teigu Vault, she went to the Demon Extract cup and drained it completely, getting the maximum power of the Teigu, and she didn't go insane... apparently she was just insane before.
So, we can just make an artefact for Shelly in the form of Hydra Extract, Shelly's regeneration should be as good as mine. But before getting to the crystal heart and extracting the extract from it, I decided to practice on the kitties... I mean, extract the extract from the lion monsters, and test it on Leona. I offered her to get the same ability as me to turn into a beast without any Teigu, but she only had to eat the meat of lions, drink their blood, and eat their hearts, Leone said she'd think about it. But you can speed up this procedure of getting the power of the beast, by using Extract from them.
In another room I made myself something like an alchemical laboratory, where I turn the monsters into a slurry, and then from this slurry try to create an Extract with the maximum concentration of beast ki, the process requires only my occasional intervention, the rest of the time I work in the forge.
Towards nightfall Najenda came in to call me to rest, she herself was also ready to rest.

We had notified the other girls of the squad members' return, and they had decided to welcome them as well. Lubbock thought that without his threads, no one would notice their arrival, and their stealthy infiltration was to show his usefulness in the Night Raid, because frankly, with my arrival, he began to feel useless, especially when Najenda became my woman... but this guy is still hoping that he can win her heart... what a cuckold. Lubbock, Bulat and another girl quietly tried to sneak into the base, but caught us all there.

- While you were gone, I created a signalling system, and it fixed you. - I looked at the girl, who turned out to be Chelsea, a redhead with Teygu, which gives her the ability to change her appearance. She'd tried to kill Akame twice before, and now she was helping the revolutionaries, and judging by the look Chelsea gave Akame, she wasn't thrilled about the prospect of working with her former enemy.
She seemed to remember me too, and she wasn't happy about working with me either, since she'd tried to kill me last time, and she thought she'd succeeded.
- How did you get here? - Najenda asked, 'Let's go to my office and talk about it. Gin, I'm going to be late today, you can start with Shelly. - said Najenda, and Shelly was glad to hear it.
Unfortunately, we couldn't feed the newcomers, Akame just doesn't leave food after the meal, so after telling about the things that are going on in the revolutionaries' headquarters, Lubbock, Chelsea and Bulat went to bed on an empty stomach.
And while Najenda was there listening to the report, Shelly and I went to her room.
- Shelly, don't you want to try the other hole? In the pussy, like Najenda? - I asked the undressing girl.

A few days after Lubbock's return, the Teigu owners arrived at Esdeath's house for her Night Raid hunting party, which she called 'The Huntsmen' and consisted of six Teigu owners in addition to Esdeath herself.
Akame's sister Kurome was one of them, and she owned the Teigu Yatsufusa, which can turn any corpse into a puppet that fights on Kurome's side, only slightly worse than the original.
The second member of the Huntsmen, was Seriu Yubikitas - a red-haired girl guard with an organic Teigu Hecatonheir that usually looks like a small dog.
The third was Bors, the head of the imperial mop-up squad, with a Teigu Rubicante, which is exactly what that Teigu flamethrower was called.
The fourth member of the squad is named Wave, arrived in the capital from the Eastern Fleet, wields the Big Bear armour, which strongly resembles Incursio. According to the books, she was created after Incursio and at once from seven old and strong earth dragons, making the Big Dipper more powerful, more armoured and safer, but unable to evolve like Incursio. It was named after the constellation of the Big Dipper, whose most visible part includes seven stars, the same number as the earth dragons, also called bears, that were used.
The penultimate member of the Huntsmen, named Ran, is wielded by Teigu Mastema, which looks like white angel wings. They give their owner limited flight, and the ability to launch sharp feathers at enemies.
The last Huntsman is called Dr Stylish, and his Teigu Perfector is a special glove that gives its wearer manual dexterity and alchemy abilities. Stileish uses the Perfector to modify criminals to create his own loyal super-soldiers who will give their lives for this homo.... yeah, Stileish was gay, just like Bulat.
These six Huntsmen, led by Esdeath, attacked the rebel base on the edge of the capital. This base was filled with outright bandits, who simply by their presence hindered the Empire, and thus helped the revolution. Leone, Lubbock and Bulat were on a mission in the capital, and on their way back to our base, they decided to check out these rebel-tire bandits, who were collecting information in criminal circles and money for the revolution. That's when the Yeageri attacked that base, Lubbock, Bulat and Leone had to confront seven Teigu owners at once.
Rebels without Teigu were killed by the Yeagers in a matter of moments, Bulat in Incursio faced Vave in Big Bear armour, Lubbock tried to do something with his threads, but Bors with his flamethrower quickly burned all his threads, and Lubbock had no time to use Royal Threads, as he was eaten by Hecatonhair. Leone was attacked by Kurome, Seria, and Dr Stylish's puppets, and she was also peppered by Ran's feathers, but my bracelet was still protecting her, but it couldn't protect her indefinitely.
When Esdeath decided to help the Huntsmen, she helped Weyve by attacking Bulat, who was fighting in Incursio armour, which unlike the Big Bear's armour was less armoured and had weaknesses that Esdeath attacked. These weaknesses were located in the articulations of the armour, such as the back of the knees. As the rapier pierced Bulat's leg, Esdeath let the cold run down her blade and began to slowly kill Bulat.
Bulat realised that he was likely to die here, so he couldn't hold back any longer, and he unleashed the power of Incursio's armour, which began to absorb the soul of the wearer, giving him immense power for a short period of time.
Bulat had a few minutes of banter with Esdeath before collapsing to the ground and dying from loss of strength. Leone was still holding on, but when she realised that she was alone and all the rebels were dead, she tried to run away, while still managing to grab Incursio's sword.
Esdeath also tried to attack Leone, but she couldn't break through her barrier, so she just decided to wall Leone up in ice so she wouldn't escape, and then dropped a huge block of ice on top of her, which crushed Leone... sort of crushed her.
I was able to get to Leona by then, and before the block fell on her, I moved us into the domain, where we waited until the Huntsmen had left before heading to the Night Raid base.
