At least, that was what it seemed. But in reality, he was reading the Blessing before him.

Woah, this one has a title and a trickery stat. Although her stat is weaker than the swordsman's, this one piques my interest more. Considering what I have experienced, her skill is more in the supporting role, and it seems it doesn't rely on any weapon. I must say this one is far easier to hide than assimilating a swordsman.

But do I want this soul over the Rogue? No, I think I prefer what I have. Nevertheless, having this as a backup doesn't sound bad. Now that I think about it, does my Soul Assimilate have a cooldown? I better find out.

Loki was about to assimilate the soul of Nina, but then he stopped as he recalled something. Although Leo and Pandora were asleep inside the tents, there was someone with them that he didn't trust.

If the long-haired man discovered his secret, who knew what would happen? Glancing at the injured man, who was leaning against a tree, sleeping. Loki eyed him with a scanning gaze, observing if the man was truly slumbering.

After a few minutes, Loki was convinced the thug was indeed asleep. With that knowledge, he utilized [Soul Assimilate]. Upon the skill activation, he expected that the soul of Nina would replace Mel. However, the result differed from his prediction. As his mouth hung in disbelief, he fortunately held himself from exclaiming.

Because instead of replacing, he had two souls assimilated inside him! His eyes quivered while looking at his newly formed stats.

With that thought, he immediately opened his [Soul Inventory] and attempted to assimilate the swordsman's soul.

The excitement in his eyes died down upon reading the notification.

Of course, there's a limit.

Knowing this, he tried replacing Nina, experimenting to see if he could assimilate the soul whenever he wanted.

Loki nodded in understanding. Even though he didn't get what he desired, the outcome still remained informative. If there was a day when he had to change soul, he would have an idea of how it would work.

After two consecutive disappointments, Loki focused his attention on what he gained, convincing himself that what he had was enough reward and that he should be satisfied. Thinking of this, excitement bubbled within him. The urge to use his new skill rose in his heart, but he resisted it instantly, fearful of getting caught.

With that restriction, he chose to read the description of his new skills.

[Clone Description: Ability to create a clone with 50% of the original's capability. Furthermore, a clone can be exploded in exchange for 10% of the user's energy.

[Deception Description: Ability to alter the senses of anyone that falls into the Eye of Trickery. The alteration will depend on the Trickery stat.]

[Eye of Trickery: Those who stare at the user's eyes will be vulnerable to trickery.]

That answered some of my questions. So, this Class weakness is not looking in the eyes? I wonder if looking into a clone's eyes can meet the requirements. I'm getting excited just by the thought of the many ways I can improve my fighting style with these skills!

Loki smiled with delight; he had not expected to gain a boon from the unfortunate incident, forgetting the disappointment earlier.

Amidst his grinning and chuckling, a sudden appearance of Pandora's face scared him almost to death. Luckily, he had managed to place his hands on his mouth, stopping himself from releasing a fearful scream.

"Don't scare me like that; I thought you were a monster."

Pandora bowed her head. "I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you."

"Haha, you don't have to apologize. Anyway, why are you awake already? I can still guard for a bit longer."

"N-no, you should rest; even though I healed you, your body still needs to regain its energy. I don't need much rest as I can replenish my energy by sitting beside a tree."

"Ahh, your passive skill… Are you sure? I'm worried about that thug over there. Are you sure you will be fine?"

Pandora nodded and pointed to her ears. "D-don't worry, I will know if he wakes up."

"Ahh, that's a convenient ability. Anyway, I will rest then."

Loki stood up and sauntered to one of the tents. The moment his body hit the ground covered with a blanket, his eyes automatically closed, signifying his exhausted state…

The next morning.

Loki woke up from the muscle pain all over his body. He groaned as he sat up. Yet, when he remembered last night's fruit of that pain, his lips involuntary smiled. Walking out of the tent in a good mood, he saw Pandora staring cautiously at the long-haired man, who was grinning when he saw him.

"Oh, look who is awake. Good morning, princess."

Loki ignored the thug, as he didn't want to ruin his mood, and turned his gaze to Pandora.

"Where's Leo? Is he still sleeping?"

Pandora shook her head. "N-no, he is awake. His body still has difficulty moving."

"I see, then we should start packing and exit the Dungeon. With our current condition, I don't think it's smart to continue Crawling."

With that, Loki and Pandora began cleaning the area. A moment later, everything was packed, and the party was ready to move.

Loki helped Leo, as it was too much for his injured body to walk on his own.

"Hey, what about me?" The thug complained.

"What about you? Don't lie, I know you can walk on your own," Loki rebutted.

"You sure are cold."

The party started their journey back to the exit without further delay. In their slowed march, they encountered different animals, which was quite lucky as it wasn't a beast like the bear or a kobold. They could probably win if they met one kobold, but it would be a different story if there were more.

After a few hours, the group safely reached the giant tree with no accidents.

Loki couldn't help but release a breath of relief when he saw the black-and-white portal. His nerve was on full alert when they traveled across the forest, afraid to encounter any danger. But he could now relax his tense body and reduce the stress he was under.

"Ok, our deal is done. I'm not going to thank you as you didn't help me for free. Still, I enjoyed our time, and you seem like a good business partner. If you need to get something, you know, not legal, just look for the name Mercado, and I'm sure you will find some interesting items on sale."

After those words, the thug limped his way to the portal.

Loki shook his head and muttered to himself. "Like hell, I will."

Upon witnessing the long-haired man's back disappear, Loki looked at Pandora and Leo. "Let's go home."

The two nodded, smiling, as their first Dungeon Crawl could be considered a success.
