The Moon Queen and Yi Rui were too engrossed in their face-off to notice Di Tian as he left, but the four mercenaries in the main hall did. They looked at each other and quickly went outside too.
Just as Di Tian was glancing around, looking for a secluded location to activate his Pangu Armour and chase after the retreating Zhang Rouchen, he sensed the four cultivators making their way in his direction.
"Inscription Master Tian, wait up," the Captain said. "You're chasing after Zhang Rouchen to rescue Gongsun Ling, right?"
"That's right," Di Tian turned to look at them curiously.
"We'll help," the Captain said firmly. It took Di Tian a moment to realize that they felt his speed as a second stage cultivator wasn't up to par and they meant to help him reach Zhang Rouchen faster.
"I have my own means," Di Tian said calmly. "But thank you."
"In that case, we'll just go with you," the Captain said. His voice was laced with heavy vengeful intent.
