Chương 59: Tian Jun and Tian Meiying.

"KKEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!" The horrific screech of the Horror Beast GrimDark rang out as it stood tall against the Toxic Tempest that rolled down onto it. The massive Toxic Tempest, fueled by the environment and grown out of proportion, had reached GrimDark and tried to pull it in.

But GrimDark wasn't so easy to move. It clawed at the Toxic Tempest madly as its eyes glowed, its seven vine-like tentacles slashing ahead. "KKEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!" Its horrific screech sounded again, and this time it had a visible effect, pushing the Toxic Tempest back a bit and making the flow unruly.

Instantly, the Toxic Tempest collapsed like a crumbling clay tower, falling directly on GrimDark, making it fall back on its back and roll down the hill.

Ken looked at them with slight surprise. "Well, this might be easier than I expected..." he muttered to himself as he slapped away a monster.

He stretched as he watched the remaining monsters get killed off. The monsters from the forest also stopped since the control GrimDark had on them probably slipped after the Toxic Tempest fell on it. Not to mention the spell was a poison one; the forest is very much poisoned.

Ken glanced back, spotting two individuals on the wall.

One was a young man with long, flowing blonde hair and bright, intense blue eyes. He wore a set of armor and noble clothes that matched him well: a blue tunic with gold embellishments on the chest, golden shoulder and arm guards, and a white cloak with gold accents. He wore brown pants with a belt over his tunic. He had a massive golden battle axe with a blue gem embedded in the head.

The other was a girl with long blonde hair and bright, intense blue eyes just like the young man. She had a cute and noble-looking face that looked innocent and a little mature. She wore a white and blue frilly dress with golden shoulder guards. She had a sword in hand that resembled a katana.

---Ken's pov---

My face darkened seeing the two. They were nobles, that's for sure, and their purpose for coming here was to kill the horror beast and take all the credit for eliminating the monster tide.

This happened in the anime as well, and in the anime, they succeeded in taking all the credit. But this isn't happening while I am around.

The two jumped down and started to walk towards the forest, absolutely uncaring about the surroundings, but I am not some random here...

I used my skill Quickstep, which had leveled up to 8, and directly appeared in front of the young man, who paused. The girl half drew her sword, ready to strike. Both of them were strong, especially the girl who was likely close to level 100, while the guy was just around 90. I was only 74 right now, but with my skill set and the status effect of Slaughtering, I could take them both on.

Not to mention the skill Obsession that I have been ignoring... The closer I am to my obsession, the stronger I am. I don't know the specifics, but I know I am at least twice as strong as my usual self. And not just that, but the Obsession multiplier, I feel, applied after the Slaughtering status effect, making me way stronger than I should be at my current level. Maybe even strong enough to take the Horror Beast one-on-one without a spell.

"Might I ask why you are blocking my and my sister's path?" The guy asked as he tightened his grip on his battle axe.

"Go back to where you came from," I simply ordered, making him frown a bit. "That beast is my prey," I stated, as I had already decided that I would be the one to kill that beast.

"And what if I-" I placed my sword on his throat at my top speed, making him go silent as he glared at me. "Are you sure you want to mess with a noble, and that too with the Tian family?" he questioned as I felt a sharp blade on the back of my neck. It was the girl who had stepped up to my right. I could feel her glaring daggers at me.

So what if I have a blade on my neck? I was still stronger here, and much faster, so the sword on the back of my neck gave them little advantage in my eyes. "You talk big for someone that came here to steal the credit for the monster tide," I shot back, and his face visibly darkened. The girl, on the other hand, softened her glare, and a smirk nearly formed.

"You..." the guy gritted his teeth as he tried to raise his axe, but I pressed my sword, making him stop.

"If you want to play this, I don't mind taking both of you on," he challenged.

"Let's stop here," the girl spoke out, her voice smooth and melodic. She sheathed her sword and folded her hands under her breasts, emphasizing them. I pulled back my sword as well and sheathed it. The guy glared at me and shifted his glare to the girl, who was looking at me with curiosity.

"My name is Tian Meiying, I am the first daughter of the Tian family," she introduced and unceremoniously pointed at the guy, "This is my younger brother, Tian Jun, the next head of the Tian family. He is a bit prideful, but he isn't arrogant," she calmly introduced the guy as well.

I smiled. I liked her style. "Ken Valxin, The Strongest Player," I introduced myself and stared at the girl who was a little surprised.

"You are a player? It has only been a week since the players have arrived, but you already reached such a power level?" she asked in astonishment and glanced in the direction of the forest, "And that Tempest spell was also from you..." she entered deep thought.

I looked at Tian Jun, who looked calmer. "My apologies if it appeared as if we are trying to take credit for the annihilation of the monster tide," Tian Meiying apologized as she lifted her dress with both hands and bowed slightly.

"Big sis..." Tian Jun mumbled and followed her steps and bowed slightly.

"...Well, this took a change... come on, I was ready to fight here..."

Both Tian Jun and Tian Meiying kept bowing, making me feel a little awkward now.
