On the fourth day, before the maids make their regular route to his room, he manages to stand, bracing himself on the bedpost as his legs tremble beneath him. 

Grunting, he shifts, his ribs aching something fierce and he suddenly feels sick.

But he doesn't stop.

He needs answers. 

He needs to know why she brought him here and why she was still keeping him in this gilded prison. 

He knows that she had a reason. His sister always had one.

Just as he was about to make his move, the door to the room swung open.

A woman entered, her presence immediately commanding attention.

She was impeccably dressed, her tailored suit clinging to her slender figure, her luxurious dark hair pulled back in a sleek bun.

 Everything about her screamed elegance and power, from the way she carried herself to the sharpness in her gaze.

"You are the most stubborn man I've ever met," she says, crossing the room with a slow, deliberate stride.
