Valerie saw Marissa shaking hands with the officer. She then said something to the lawyer. For Valerie, it was all a part of a dream.
She couldn't hear anything.
This was a miracle.
She was least expecting Marissa here.
"W-what are you doing here?" she asked Marissa once they were out. A grey Porsche slowly wheeled towards them and the driver got out to open the back door.
"Well! Apparently! I was here to bail you out. If you don't like it, I can ask them to take you back," She gave a small nod to the exit gate of the police station.
Just like old times, Valerie wanted to snap at her.
But now the circumstances were not in her favor anymore.
"Th-thank you…" she mumbled.
With a small smile, Marissa wore her dark shades and at last eyed her elder sister.
"Take it as a favor and stay away from my family."
"B-but how do you know… I am innocent?"
