Marissa had fallen asleep easily, the weight and the tiredness of the day had pulled her under. In the middle of the night, she turned over in bed and felt something soft beside her.
In confusion, she tried to open her eyes and then blinked. She rubbed her fist in her eye to rub off the sleep. In the dim light of the room, she saw Sophie lying right next to her in the room. She was curled up and was sleeping deeply haphazardly on the bed.
"Sophie!" Marissa whispered, still groggy, "What are you doing here?"
Sophie who was sleeping like a dead, was least bothered by Marissa's voice
Sitting up slowly, she shook Sophia's shoulder gently, "Wake up! What time is it!"
She sounded more anxious now, but her tired friend didn't respond. She barely stirred, letting a soft sigh, mumbling something, and then drifted back to sleep.
