"How do you think the public will react after meeting our kids?" She asked him in a bare whisper. They both were lying on the floor sharing a small cushion under their heads, their feet propped up on the sofa.
He moved his head to look at her and found her inspecting the ceiling. He followed her gaze and chuckled, "What are you looking for, up there?"
"You didn't answer my question, smart pants," she said in the same lost voice.
He propped on one elbow to have a better look at her face. Today her face had a constant relaxed smile glued to her lips.
"Do we care what the public will think about them?" he answered her question somberly.
She pursed her lips into a small sad smile, "Valerie might create trouble if she finds out about the announcement."
"Don't worry about the troubles, Little Greene. Remember? You have me. We are a team. About troubles? I'm working on that along with my lawyers but there is something you need to understand."
