" Ugh….. Nooo~… I can't eat any more General chop…"
Trying to roll around what I first thought was my bed, the cold sensation of my foot dangling in midair outside my covers forces my eyes to flutter open slightly.
" Hmm…? " - Groaning, the first thing I saw upon waking up was the TV me and Wise used to watch our favorite shows or just kill some time together watching the nonsensical Association news…
' Did I end up sleeping on the couch?... After yesterday, I guess it was expected… Wait… Yesterday… THAT'S RIGHT! ' - My eyes shot open as I tried to push my feet toward the floor a biiit too fast…
" Wha-oof! "
* Thud! *
Just to fall face first on the carpet… Side glancing at my legs that somehow had wrapped around the blankets and tripped me mid-movement… All that is left for little me to do is silently curse.
The sound of steps hurriedly making their way into the room soon snags my attention, and having perfect timing as always, Wise bursts open the door leading towards the main store.
He searches the room before his eyes finally meet mine… Still kinda entangled by the covers, I give him a slow wave followed by an awkward laugh. - " Heya uh… Morning, Wise…."
Letting out an audible sigh he shakes his head before moving closer to help me up. - " Morning to you too, Belle… Now let's go, our support just arrived, and I'm sure you'll want to greet them. "
Freeing my leg from that blanket shackles and grabbing me by the armpits so he could help me stand up, I'm soon back on my feet while Wise just smiles somewhat tiredly…. - ' He probably hasn't slept all night trying to find a way for us to solve this… Meanwhile, I… '
Cutting my thoughts from deviating any further, a flick to my nose brings my attention back to the present, holding my nose and pouting towards the culprit in front of me.
" Don't put too much concern in that small head of yours Belle, we need it to be fine and fully working today, right? " - Not waiting to hear my complaints, Wise turns around saying we should join the others.
I guess worrying about it right now won't solve our situation…

Both siblings walk out of their HDD room being met by their supposed saviors gathered around the main store counter discussing some very… unique topics.
" What I'm saying is, you guys should have gotten a better box… Like Wise said, imagine if it had a hole in it?! We would go 'Boom!' in less than a second if one dropped! "
Seemingly understanding that the cardboard box of grenades sitting by their feet wasn't the best of choices to transport such dangerous things, Nicole ran a hand through her head…
But she, too, knew to be in the wrong, after all, she should've checked on it before just leaving Nekomiya to go get it. The one who brought it out of their car just shrugged, not really seeing the problem.
That was until she realized that there would be no problem if the explosives they got were normal regulated ones…
" These are pretty hard to explode on impact… But given how awfully cheap we got them for… And they were also advertising it to be effective against the Low-Demon class Monsters. "
Slowly turning her head toward the box right beside her feet, the cat's ears and tails stood up straight, understanding that she might have a patch of unstable explosives right beside her.
A drop of sweat ran down her cheek as she was about to suggest to Nicole if they should just fight without them when the last two of the group who were talking among themselves about a movie they found finally decided to step in.
Crouching next to the box, Anby pulled up a grenade and gave a serious look and a few taps before nodding. - " They seem to be fabricated using a cheaper fabric, but to accidentally activate their combustion mechanism it would arguably take a higher fall than three or four feet. "
In her ever-present monotone voice, the white-haired girl nods, finishing her analysis before passing the explosive to the cyborg, who had also lowered himself to give it a better look.

The more Belle heard from Nicole the further embarrassed she felt… She couldn't just say the reason for her peaceful sleep was that she worried so much, that all of her energy was wasted over her non-stop talking about the possible scenarios before passing out.
' Also… Threatened? She did say she would pay us a visit, but that woman didn't sound like she would kill us or anything… Did Wise… ' - Side-eyeing her brother, the guy knowing what she was thinking about solely gave her a sneaky wink as if saying ' I got this '.
Deadpanning the older sibling, she couldn't help but be exasperated, but at the end of the day, they needed the help. She even suggested calling Qingyi and Zhu Yuan, but according to Wise, those two should be troubled by the whole monster ant situation.
Sure, they might rush to their aid since they were friends… But that also meant other people who they might have saved would sadly end up losing their lives, and the sibling duo wasn't prepared to bear such responsibility.
" Haha, what can I say? I'm quite a tough one! " - Striking a double-finger gun pose towards Nicole, Belle smiles, trying to push the topic of her slumbering aside. - " But I gotta say that I'm curious, did you guys see anything uhhh… ' fantastic ', on the way here? "
The city has been in total Chaos since last night, Belle and Wise were able to keep up with most attacks thanks to the security cameras that were still working, courtesy of Fairy giving them a hand.
Humming at the question, Nicole taps her finger by her chin, trying to remember any weird scenes until one pops up in her head.
" Oh yeah! When we were driving here a monster started rampaging out of a building, Nekomiya and Billy were seconds away from jumping in after seeing some kids that were almost caught in the debris- "
As the pink-haired girl was about to tell further, the cat herself sprung in making some sound effects and making all sorts of poses to try and pass the idea of the scene.
" Then! A truck came flying like a blur from the side and ' BOOM! ', on the ugly thing! It got stuck into the wall, pinned by the truck and concrete before ' Kaboom! ', Another truck came flying from right above it! It was quite the fireworks show, luckily the first truck pulled the monster quite far away from any civilians so when they both exploded, and didn't get anyone in danger. "
Still vividly reminiscing of how those trucks came flying out of nowhere, Nekomata's eyes sparkled with admiration for whoever did such a cool move. After all, it was not anyone who could toss those things around like that.
The description of things coming flying out of nowhere got the attention of the siblings even more… They shared a look that said everything. - ' It has to be her doing. '
Normally the one behind could be anyone, but the timing was just perfect. Many security cameras showed the exact same scene. Some object or vehicle coming out of nowhere and killing a monster in less than a minute…
" I still wonder who they are and why they didn't show up to receive the credit for it tho… " - Nekomiya scratched her ears slightly, not understanding why a Hero from the association would save someone and not get the credit for it.
But it seems her answer would come from someone sitting on top of a movie shelf right behind her.
A certain blonde with her back turned to them looking at the various movie tapes around the shelves under and beside her.
Her umbrella spun in her hands once, getting everyone inside the store to jump in front of the brothers, taking out their respective weapons.
Moving her umbrella out of the way ever so slightly so she could give them a side-peek. Yukari displayed a mischievous smile watching how the Cunning Hares sweated, not even sensing her walk inside the store… Not that she ever did so…
" I was solely bored back then, don't think much out of it~ "
