Chương 28: Chapter 28: House Hunting
Chen Wei just felt a little emotional; he didn't have much connection with Wang Dongcheng to begin with. Besides, Wang Dongcheng's situation was mostly his own problem. Even if he ended up being fired by the company, it was understandable.
It wasn't even three o'clock yet, and Chen Wei had nothing much to do, so he shut down his computer and told Zheng Junpeng he was heading home first. If Zhao Yang asked about it later, he'd let him know.
Zheng Junpeng agreed.
Chen Wei glanced at what Zheng Junpeng had done; he had made around five hundred bucks from trading twenty or thirty stocks, which was pretty good.
Leaving the office and thinking about getting some sleep at home, Chen Wei didn't bother walking; he just hailed a cab.
After getting home, without eating anything, he quickly washed up and went to bed.
He woke up almost at noon, feeling hungry. He went downstairs and had a pork rib rice meal.
While eating, he sent a text to Xu Lili, asking if she was free and wanted to go see some houses together.
Until he finished eating, Xu Lili hadn't replied.
Chen Wei sighed and decided to go to the central city area alone.
He first went to City Garden.
The sales office was grand and magnificent.
There were many cars parked outside, with people bustling in and out, all customers coming to see houses over the weekend.
Uniformed security guards greeted the customers who came to see the houses, while occasionally, female sales agents in uniform skirts came out of the sales office to see off one group of customers and welcome another.
Standing in front of the sales office, Chen Wei looked up at the magnificent building and silently admired it. Indeed, it was a nationally renowned developer, and even the sales office was so grand; the houses here must be of high quality.
At this moment, a beautiful saleswoman walked towards him with a smile and asked from afar, "Sir, are you here to see the house?"

Chen Wei was taken aback, his smile frozen on his face. He turned around and saw a middle-aged man in decent clothes with a stylish woman just getting off a Mercedes.
The middle-aged man smiled and nodded to the beautiful saleswoman, saying, "Yeah, let's take a look."

With a warm smile on her face, the beautiful saleswoman gestured for them to follow her into the sales office.
As they passed by Chen Wei, she rudely pushed him aside to clear the way for the couple.
Chen Wei felt annoyed, but he didn't react.
He followed them into the sales office.
Inside the sales office, it was bustling with people. Some were gathered around the sand table model, looking at the building model and listening to the sales staff explain. Some were gathered around a large planning map, carefully examining the layout of the entire neighborhood. Others were at the signing area beside the hall, signing contracts and paying deposits.
Chen Wei first took a few promotional flyers from the display rack at the door, then approached the sand table model to look at the entire City Garden neighborhood.
The neighborhood was large, with more than fifty buildings, all high-rise.
Chen Wei then looked at the floor plans in his hand.
There were six types of floor plans in this neighborhood, ranging from the smallest at ninety-eight square meters, with three bedrooms, two living rooms, and one bathroom, to the largest at one hundred and sixty square meters, with four bedrooms, two living rooms, and three bathrooms.
All of them were furnished with high-quality materials.
From the sand table model, the appearance of the neighborhood looked upscale.
Chen Wei wanted to ask a salesperson about the parking spaces, common areas, and decoration standards of this neighborhood, but when he looked up, the beautiful saleswomen were either explaining things to their clients or standing at the door, and none of them took the initiative to approach him.
Chen Wei was about to go over to the saleswomen standing at the door to ask, when someone lightly pushed him from the side.
Turning his head, he saw a beautiful saleswoman smiling at him.
Chen Wei thought it was finally someone taking the initiative to approach him. Just as he was about to ask a question, he heard the saleswoman say, "Sir, could you please step aside?"
Chen Wei was taken aback for a moment, subconsciously moved aside.
The beautiful saleswoman still had a smile on her face. She turned to the man and woman on the other side and said, "Sir, please take a look at this building. The view from this building is excellent..."
Chen Wei stood aside, quietly listening to the enthusiastic explanation from the saleswoman to the couple.
After about ten minutes of explanation, the couple seemed somewhat dissatisfied, shook their heads, and walked away.
Chen Wei heard the saleswoman mutter under her breath as she watched them leave, "Such bad luck! If they weren't going to buy, they should've said so earlier, instead of wasting my time!"
Chen Wei was bewildered.
The saleswoman didn't even look at Chen Wei and just walked away.
Chen Wei shook his head. These salespeople were all talk and no substance!
But after coming all this way, he had to take a closer look. He couldn't just not buy a house because of the salesperson's attitude.
He was buying the house, not the salesperson...
Seeing a sign at the staircase leading to the second floor that read: "Please go upstairs to visit the model houses," Chen Wei walked over and went up the stairs.
In the middle of the second floor was a large hall, with several rooms around it, each with a floor plan hanging outside.
Chen Wei thought for a moment and walked into the smallest sample room, ninety-eight square meters.
Chen Wei hadn't asked about the price of the houses in this neighborhood, but he had vaguely heard someone downstairs mention twenty-six thousand.
If that was the case, this ninety-eight square meter one would cost around two and a half million, with a down payment of at least five hundred thousand.

Upon entering, there was a foyer, with a bathroom on the right and a bedroom on the left.

While he was looking, a salesperson led a middle-aged woman and a young man into the room. They seemed to be a mother and son.

The beautiful saleswoman suggested.

Chen Wei couldn't help but chuckle. He stepped out of the bathroom and went to look at the bedroom next door.
The bedroom wasn't large either; a double bed took up most of the space.
But the room had good lighting, with large windows and a large bay window.
Overall, it looked pretty good.
