As I was dragged across the cold, jagged floor of the cave, my wrists bound by chains that bit into my skin, I forced myself to maintain the facade. My body slumped, my breaths shaky, as if the fear from before still held me in its grip. But inside, my mind was sharp, calculating, every step of the plan already in motion.
The guards—those shadowy figures whose faces were hidden beneath their cloaks—took me deeper into the cave, to a chamber sealed off by ancient iron bars. They tossed me inside roughly, the cold floor sending a shiver up my spine as I hit the ground.
