Chương 6: The Demon King Gets His First Client

A major problem that Aaron took note of during the times he strolled into the main village was health-related issues. The health situation of Bambara Village was poor. Surely, they had their ways of treating ailments and addressing health issues but these ways were greatly limited and most of the time, even the herbs that are gotten from the neighbouring Herb Village would only go so far.

Taking note of this, Aaron decided that was the niche he would use for his business. Most of the diseases and health issues these humans had were not too difficult to handle and even with how weak he was, his powers would easily cure them. However, Aaron knew he had to play it cool and not make it seem like he was performing miracles.

He didn't really care for their emotions or how they would feel, Aaron just wanted to have fun and make some money while at it. So, even if he had to pretend like he was healing them through a known process, then he would.

What better fun than the one that pays you at the same time?

The older generation of Bambara Village wanted to live through old age seamlessly and as such, problems that came with old age were worrying to them even when it was all natural processes going on in their bodies.

The younger generations suffered most of the health issues and also the yearning for companionship and how to keep them, for those who already had one.

Aaron could already see the continual inflow of money from his potential business.

A sinister smile arched on his lips even as he was yet to address Alicia's follow-up question to him revealing his intentions of starting a business in Bambara.

Alicia was surprised by Aaron's decision. She was worried and at the same time happy about it.

She looked at her son in a weird manner that showed more worry than happiness.

She had inquired what type of business Aaron wanted to do, a question to which Aaron was about to provide an answer.

"I want to start selling drugs and doing therapy," Aaron said with all seriousness. "Medicine basically."

Alicia chuckled at his answer. "Drugs and therapy?" she replied, finding her son's idea a little funny but when she saw the serious look on his face, she knew instantly that he meant what he said.

"What do you even know about that?" she inquired further.

"I've been doing personal studies and research for some time. Moreover, it's something I've always wanted to do since it's quite lacking in our village."

Alicia smiled at him as she took a slice of bread, biting on it.

"Look at my little… worrying about the village. You don't know how happy it makes me feel that you're getting over that incident."

Aaron's mind paused. 'That incident?' he thought.

'What incident is this woman talking about? Is it something only the real Aaron would have known? A memory I was yet to access perhaps?' Aaron thought to himself.

"Anyways, my lovely boy," Alicia said, "anything that makes you smile again I'm up for it."

Alicia was a kind and sweet woman who showered Aaron with nothing but love, care and time, which the Demon King believed was a little too much.

She couldn't be blamed. Perhaps, she would have stopped if she knew that the 'Aaron' she was living with was not her real son.

"If only she knew that her son was no more," Aaron thought with a regretful sigh.

"Thanks, mother."

Alicia smiled and nodded, striking a heroic pose as Aaron watched the beautiful sight of her breasts bouncing once more.

She turned and left the dining table for a few minutes and climbed upstairs.

In no time, she was back downstairs with a small box in her hand.

She placed the box on the table and slid it over to her son.

"Take," she said, handing him the box.

Aaron was sceptical at first but yielded and collected the box from her.

He opened it and his eyes broadened as he saw the contents of the box.

It was money and a reasonable sum at that.

Aaron looked at Alicia and then at the box. He was happy and at the same time so speechless that he couldn't express his happiness.

Alicia had shattered a major obstacle to his proposed business venture—capital.

With profound joy, Aaron hurried up with his meals, intermittently catching his mother's gaze as she stared at him with doe eyes.

****

Several days have passed since the day that Aaron was given a huge sum by Alicia.

He was loving his new life as things were moving smoothly, even more than he had anticipated.

'Those bastards, as well as the Stream of Life, must be greatly disappointed, hehe,' he thought as he looked to the sky.

Aaron had purchased a bungalow for his business and was setting up for opening.

With the money he was given and from the one he gathered by doing little work himself over the several days, he called for carpenters who did the woodwork and every other thing required over days.

"That's good," Aaron commented as he watched the building from outside on the final day of work.

It was finished and he had himself a well-furnished building with a name sign hanging above the entrance—TOUCH OF NIRVANA.

He strolled in and admired the inside of the place, pleased with how it turned out and the arrangement likewise.

It was ready albeit not opened yet.

Aaron had succeeded in building his shop, which he named the Touch of Nirvana.

The Touch of Nirvana was located halfway between the Winters' Home and the Bambara Village, where everyone could reach him without any problems.

"We're good to go then," Aaron declared with a satisfactory grin plastered on his face.

***

The very next day, Aaron opened the establishment for business to start.

A week passed.

Another week passed.

And another after that.

It's been over three weeks since he opened his business and nothing seemed to be happening.

On the first day, he had no customers. It was the same with the second, third, fourth and fifth days and this lingered up until now.

The only day that people visited the Touch of Nirvana was on the sixth day but sadly, they were just a bunch of kids that had come to beg for alms from Aaron. Aaron wasted no time in discharging them but these children remained persistent until they could get some change from him.

Another week passed and Aaron was yet to get even one client.

Aaron puffed his cheeks where he sat cross-legged in front of his building. 'Tsk, it wasn't supposed to be this hard,' he lamented inwardly and in solitude while fanning himself with a hand fan.

'Every young person in this village needs my help with that other part of their lives. They are lonely and are probably going to die alone. Tch!'

During his time surveying the village, Aaron knew that his business idea was going to sell in theory. He planned to open a kind of clinic and offer professional advice and care to the rejected and devoid of love as well as the sick and aged.

As the Demon King, he had more than an ocean of experiences in sensual matters and a little bit of love affairs and his kind of business sells.

"Medicine, love and sex sell," he would repeat to motivate himself.

Aaron had it all figured out but in reality, it was starting to look like he had made a wrong decision. He sighed, looking out into the empty street that was in front of it.

A gust of wind blew past, making the metallic name sign of his store clatter.

"I should nail that sign properly," he said as he stood up and walked into the open.

Aaron stood outside, looking at the sign that had gone loose at one of its ends and speculating the best way to fix his nail into it.

As he took his time to observe the sign, someone walked up from behind him.

"Hello," the voice said, gently tapping Aaron from behind.

Aaron turned to see the person and it was a middle-aged man with a bald head. His bald head made Aaron reflexively chuckle as the man's appearance brought back memories of Ser Hathor, the Great Bald Knight, from his past life.

"A-Are you... the owner of... this clinic?" the man asked with a sheepish voice.

Aaron's lips immediately arched into a big smile as he looked at the man with passion burning in his eyes.

'A client?' he thought to himself.
