Chương 138: A Gentle Chiding, Progress!

After Milim and Ramiris finished speaking we sat down and had some food, my wife tossing her head side to side in excitement as she ate my honey-brazed steak. Ramiris was eating an ice-cream, the cream sliding down the side of her face as she licked the top of it and hummed in satisfaction. Honestly it was a little intense but I ignored it, finding myself staring at my over-energetic wife. Her hair was twirling and curling down to her eyebrows and she had flushed glowing skin, as if she had just taken a shower. Her clothes were rather suave as she wore a form-fitting trench coat and a beautiful silver shirt underneath. Her nipple poked out slightly from her shirt and it was quite distracting to me.

The front door opened roughly as Shuna walked through huffily. I turned my head and saw that she was indeed not happy, her eyes narrowed to fine points of anger and her cheeks swelled up in frustration.

"Silviana! You need to get that Primordial Demon under control! She is making your office a personal den for her and Rigurd!"

'Oh for fucks sakes...'

"Don't worry honey, I'll deal with it."

"Fine. Huu, you have no idea how pissed off they have made me, I couldn't even rest in your office because they were going at it..."

"They what!?"

"Umm, they were, copulating, on your desk..."

Rage and anger passed through me and blistered into the connection me and Ruphia shared. In but a moment she was afraid and I felt her trying to escape. Tugging at the string like it was a leash I pulled her and Rigurd through space. I summoned a shield and obscured their visages and any liquids that could be happening. My magic was thrumming and Milim was staring at me with gleaming eyes and a huge grin. She no doubt wanted to fight me now, something I didn't feel like doing but would have to for her to settle down. Another thing to blame Ruphia for... Not only had she annoyed Shuna but also brought Milim's fighting mania onto me.

Seeing through the shield I quickly forced clothes onto them as they were cleansed thoroughly and then held in place. My concepts were steadfast and like steel at this time as I was completely pissed that I had just come home to this mess.

"Si-Silvi-san..."

"Silviana, to you, Ruphia."

She recoiled and flinched at the same time, her expression not changing but her physical movements giving away her discomfort and embarrassment. I didn't care though and simply removed the shield, revealing the couple before me. Rigurd was flushed with embarrassment and utter shame as Ruphia was staring straight at the ground.

"Shuna tells me you have been having little escapades on my desk whilst I've been away doing work for Tempest. Would you like to explain yourself."

"Um, well, you see... It, just kind of happened... We didn't intentionally...."

I held up my index finger to silence Rigurd and turned to Ruphia.

"Anything for you to say?"

"No. Silviana."

"Hmm, okay. This is never to happen again. You are not allowed to fuck on my desk and annoy my wives whilst I am away, if I find you doing it again, well... Let's just say I made potential allies with people that have abstract torture dungeons that could tickle you to near-death."

Shuna blinked a few times as Milim gritted her teeth slightly, getting the reference as me and Rimuru had explained Nazerick to her previously. Rigurd was completely clueless whilst Ruphia was shuddering at the thought of being tortured in such a way. I couldn't tell if she was enjoying the thought or hating it, but whatever it was, it looked creepy on an emotionless face.

"Anyway! As long as it won't happen again..." I looked between the newly forged couple and sighed as they nodded deeply. "Then I guess congratulations are in order for your two's relationship."

Rigurd smiled widely as Ruphia also smiled a little, my wives looking at me as if I needed to explain my previous comment. Closing my eyes I tried to resist the headache that was starting to spread within my mind. I'd been getting them so much of late...

'Perhaps I need to have a break and just chill?'

I would say sure, usually, but they will kill you if you don't explain. Plus you have Walpurgis in 3 days, a meeting with Ainz in 2 and today you were going to start automating all of the industry of Tempest, were you not?

'... Why did my work still increase despite Rimuru coming back?'

It's almost like you are running a nation of millions of people or something...

"Silvi? Would you like to explain what you mean by 'potential allies'?"

"I resurrected Shalltear as a token of truce between us and Nazerick. There are forces greater than both of our forces and they are waking up long before I thought they would. Guy is showing more interest in current events and Michael is starting to hunt down Nazerick and probably already has plans for dealing with us."

"Michael? Who is that?"

Shuna was confused whilst Milim was looking at me with an utterly bored expression. Yeah, I was perplexed about her boredom but continued to talk.

"The Emperor of the Eastern Empire. He controls an a massive army with guns and airships, alongside his ability to summon a literal swarm of angels numbering in the millions."

"That sounds bad... That's bad isn't it Rigurd?"

"I think it is Ruphia."

"Thanks Rigurd"

"No Problem Ruphia?"

Ignoring the Hellsing abridged joke I continued to speak.

"Thus, I have decided to have a talk with Ainz, bringing Yuna and Rimuru along. We will take the ghosts as well. It is two days from now."

"Is it smart to trust them...?"

"No. But if we place a magical contract on both sides then we'll have no choice but follow through on our parts. Especially if I tie it to certain essences."

Shuna didn't speak back and simply walked over, giving me a hug whilst snuggling her head into the crook of my neck. Milim sprinted over as well and jumped up to me, giving me a warm smooch to the side of my face. I finally felt my headache receding as I just hugged them both. I didn't even notice when Ruphia and Rigurd had left.

...

Stepping into multi-storied building that had hundreds of workers within I saw hundreds of bolts of wool and cloth, sourced from other countries and the agricultural sector's efforts in breeding certain types of monsters together. Sewing kits and professional tools were placed everywhere along tables, the clutter being quite astounding. Shuna, who had taken me to her industry first, was livid and started to shout at the managers to clean up the mess. Many of the management almost fainted as they were shouted at, the panic inherent in every worker making me think that there needed to be some sort of body to watch over laziness.

"Silvi, i-it's not like this all the time... I, I..."

"It's fine. Well, it's not, but we will fix it. I am just going to get the job done and leave, I'll leave their punishments up to you."

Seeing my wife nod and look at the people in the room with an evil glare I expanded my magic out and started to pull on the aspect of transmutation within my spell. Specifically I began to focus on the exchange of materials from one state to another. At the same time I plugged in my memories of machines that could do sewing and stitching with the utmost speed. In this world it would be seen as a magical artefact, in my old world it was a staple of the clothing industry. All of the tools slowly melted and formed together anew, magicules being consumed in large amounts to substitute the missing material. With my unique sight I saw blue, red and green essence surge amongst the shadowy blue magicules that began to form chains to each clump of essence.

Like mist being burned into liquid the essence slowly slid down said links until they became the raw stuff of creation, atoms. Within moments the atomic structures of Iron, Titanium, Platinum, Gold and Cobalt formed and solidified before yet again melting. Red essence was pulled from a nearby fire, the universe itself providing a supply for me to use. Seconds had passed and the machine was completely done. Red essence had shaped, pressed and formed the shape whilst blue essence imbued the shape with uses, abilities, rules... Then came colourless mana, the whole construct gaining a limited sentience that could be compared with the most simplistic AI of my time, or the highest level of AI back 100 or so years; on earth.

This process repeated until the entire building had semi-useful AI that could help staff and be directed by them to complete work at a much faster rate. At the same time I imbued the entire building with a rune to collect Magicules and slowly filter them throughout and back out again. Everyone was stunned by the nigh-instant transformation. My wife was the only one to just accept it, she was much more concerned about the lack of cleanliness and lack of work that had been happening when we first walked in. Since we had the hug back at home with Milim our day had been good, unfortunately that mood seemed to be crushed now as she was hellbent on teaching her employees their jobs.

I left long before she began to yell at them and demand a change of work ethic. A few people may lose their jobs over this but they would be able to get work elsewhere soon enough. The fields always needed someone to plant them and the smiths constantly needed help with the ash and soot of their chimneys... Shaking my head away from those thoughts I quickly traversed the city to numerous different areas. The Artisan Guild got a new crucible, powered by magic or electricity that made temperatures exceeding 2000 degrees Celsius. I also created some small stations for them, a grinder, a lathe and a polisher. Basic although the tools may be in comparison to semi-autonomous AI sewing machines, they were perfect for speeding up the work of the Artisans. Not to mention that the machines themselves were serving as inspiration for multiple dwarven blacksmiths and the numerous other blacksmiths that saw the tools.

The Agricultural industry got some machines to make fertilizer, some basic harvesters and twenty large aeroponics bays with instructions on how to grow certain plants and such without soil. To be honest a lot of the machines were complex but the people that were using them were given handbooks and actual books to process how to use the machines efficiently. I didn't expect instant usage of them, but a gradual change to them.

The lumber industry got some chainsaws and also some wood-chippers. Cries of excitement rained out from the lumber yards as I did that, many noting how I used those machines and following the steps. One didn't need to know how the inner workings were made, they just needed to know how to power them, turn them on and use them. Books were distributed to the Lumber Yards as well, many of them spending a couple hours after I had left to comprehend what I had just given them.

I thought you wanted them to be self-sufficient and produce these things by themselves...

'That is slow. I already have the knowledge, why can't I dangle it in front of our citizens noses and have them try to replicate it? The blacksmiths will soon hear about all the machines, then they will come to me. They will ask for some time to research them and see if they could reverse engineer it. Graciously I will accept and give them a single prototype, under the understanding that they will be watched and will not share the tech with other nations.'

Very convoluted, could you have not given them a book on how to produce it?

'Yes, but, there is a difference between seeing something happening before your eyes and reading about it in a book. If it is before your eyes you can't deny the truth, where as, if it is in a book there is always the doubt of whether this is actually real, whether it would work... So, I dangle the actual thing, show them its uses and allow them to produce it. By the end of the month they should have prototypes of those machines and devices, even if they are not as effective as the actual things yet.'

Carrot and stick... Instead of the stick you are using the carrot and baiting them to come towards the places you want them to.

'Mhm! But anyway, I need to give the mining industry their drills and then I can create more resource trees, resource crops and jobs.'

Sometimes you act really smart and other times you are kind thick...

'I'll take that as a compliment, I pride myself on being able to adapt to any situation.'

...

Within the next hour I finished my enhancements to the industries, finding that work was going much quicker. No new jobs were created, instead, there was the opposite affect... But, with the new changes I was implementing, this would all change massively.
