Daya's attention was momentarily caught by the news, but he quickly turned back to Saanvi, still uncertain about her purpose bringing here. "Why did you bring me here?" he asked, his confusion evident.
Saanvi gave him a reassuring smile. "You'll see soon enough," she replied, leading him further down the corridor.
Saanvi entered the room, followed by a still-confused Daya. "Hi, Deepti, how are you?" Saanvi asked warmly.
As Saanvi and Deepti exchanged greetings, Daya looked around, unsure why he had been brought there. Then, Saanvi turned to Deepti and said, "Deepti, can you tell him what happened to you? Don't worry about anything; this here is Inspector Daya."
Deepti, thinking Saanvi had brought the inspector to help her, began recounting her harrowing experience. She detailed the abuse she suffered, mentioning who had continually tormented her and when it happened.
As Deepti spoke, realization struck Daya. He felt a pang of guilt, understanding that his actions—releasing Vasu's brothers—had led to Deepti becoming their victim. He fell silent, the weight of his mistake settling heavily on him.
Seeing his reaction, Saanvi did not accuse him directly, nor did she inform Deepti that it was Daya who had released the criminals. Instead, she simply asked, "Daya, are you going to help her, right?"
Daya, his voice heavy with remorse, replied, "Yes, I'll do everything to arrest those criminals."
Daya felt very angry with himself at this moment. Although he was a corrupt inspector, in his perspective, he justified his actions by believing he did not harass the general public. Cases like Venkata Rao's were exceptions, where he intervened between criminals and their victims to save lives, earning money from the criminals in return. He rationalized it as a necessary evil to keep the peace.
But now, because of his mistake, Deepti had fallen victim. His anger surged, directed at Vasu's brothers. The same day they were released, they had kidnapped Deepti without a moment's regret. This was a stark reminder of the true consequences of his actions.
After talking with Saanvi, Daya went straight to Vasu's place. As Daya was driving, Murthy, his constable, was silently cursing him. Daya had previously claimed he helped people, but now Murthy was blaming him. Murthy had been present when Daya went to the hospital with Saanvi, but his presence was negligible, so no one noticed him. He had heard everything Deepti said.
When Daya left, Saanvi called Raj to inform him that she had completed her task.
Daya entered Vasu's place, he grabbed a bamboo stick while walking. Vasu's brothers were playing cards. Upon seeing them, Daya's rage exploded. He began beating them one after another with the stick. They tried to resist, and those nearby attempted to intervene, but Daya beat them as well.
The commotion drew attention. Vasu rushed out, seeing his brothers beaten to a pulp and Daya attacking his men. Enraged, Vasu pointed a gun at Daya and cursed, "What are you doing?"
Daya, panting from the exertion and his anger barely contained, turned to face Vasu. "What am I doing? I'm delivering justice for the innocent girl your brothers abused. You think you can keep committing these crimes and get away with it?"
Vasu's eyes narrowed as he tightened his grip on the gun. "You're insane, Daya. You're supposed to be on our side."
Daya laughed bitterly, "Your side? You made me cross a line I can't ignore anymore. You think this power you have makes you untouchable? Not anymore." He swung the stick at Vasu's hand, knocking the gun away. Vasu's men hesitated, unsure whether to help their boss or stay out of the chaos.
Murthy, standing by, finally found his voice. "Sir, we should call for backup. This is getting out of hand."
But Daya, eyes burning with a mix of guilt and fury, didn't stop. He continued, "Your brothers are scum, Vasu. The day they got out, they kidnapped and tortured an innocent girl. And you stand there protecting them?"
Vasu, now unarmed but still defiant, snarled, "You think you're some kind of hero now? You'll regret this, Daya."
Daya's response was a cold, hard stare. "The only regret I have is not stopping you sooner." He motioned for Murthy to call for backup. "This ends today, Vasu. Your reign of terror is over. Soon I will come and arrest your brothers." Saying this, Daya turned and left the scene, leaving Vasu fuming and his men in disarray.
As Daya walked away, the weight of his actions pressed heavily on him. He knew that this was just the beginning of a long battle to atone for his past mistakes. But for now, he had taken the first step towards justice.
"Ding, You have received 10 destiny points for creating conflict for destined child and due to this conflict destined child Daya did not have anyone's support Now."
A surprised smile appeared on Raj's face when he heard the notification. "Looks like my plan worked," he thought to himself.
Raj looked at his Destiny Points,
[ Destiny Points: 40 ]
Murthy, sensing Daya's conflicted feelings, responded cautiously, "Sir, for the first time in your life, you've made the right choice. Now, if you back away, Vasu will not let you go."
Raj, aware of the events that had transpired, decided it was time to take action. He took out his black BMW bike from the garage and drove towards the hospital. One of his informants within Vasu's gang had revealed the location where Vasu's brothers were currently being treated.
Raj entered the hospital's location on his mobile and set off from his villa. As he drove, ensuring there was no one around, he pulled out his Rakshasura mask and put it on. He then changed his face to Daya's face.
After entering the hospital, Raj approached the receptionist, adopting Daya's authoritative demeanor. "What's the room number for Vasu's brothers?" he asked.
The receptionist, not suspecting anything unusual, quickly provided the information. "Room 307, sir."
Raj made his way to the third floor and approached Room 307. Outside, he saw four men guarding the room. As they noticed "Daya" coming towards them, panic set in. Only an hour ago, this same inspector had injured them and their comrades.
As Raj approached the guards, their panic turned into aggression. They quickly drew their weapons and attacked, not willing to take any chances. Raj, with the agility and precision of a seasoned fighter, swiftly avoided their attacks. In a matter of moments, he had knocked each of them out, leaving them unconscious on the floor and dragged them nearby store room.
With the guards taken care of, Raj turned his attention to Room 307. He pushed open the door and stepped inside, finding Vasu's brothers lying on their hospital beds, bandaged and clearly still recovering from their earlier beating.
Raj's presence, masked as Daya, filled the room with an aura of menace and authority. "Looks like your luck just ran out," he said coldly, closing the door behind him.
Two hours later, Raj emerged from Room 307. Inside, the room was a gruesome scene of torn flesh scattered around. The four men were in a state of utter horror, their faces streaked with dried tears. They couldn't utter a single word, as their mouths were filled with blood, and their hands and legs were missing. They were barely clinging to life, and it was evident that without immediate medical attention, they wouldn't survive.
Raj, still wearing the Rakshasura mask and disguised as Daya, walked down the corridor, leaving the brutalized men behind. He knew that the hospital staff would soon find them as well as vasu's people will regain there conscience.
A few minutes later, a nurse walked towards Room 307. She had come by earlier but, finding the door locked from the inside, had left without checking on Vasu's brothers. It was her duty to check on patients regularly, so she returned to see if everything was alright.
When she opened the door and saw the horrifying scene of flesh scattered everywhere and the men in critical condition, she ran out screaming, drawing the attention of everyone nearby.
People quickly gathered, their faces reflecting the shock and horror of what they saw inside. Doctors, used to the sight of blood, bravely stepped forward to assess the situation. Seeing that the men were still breathing, they quickly mobilized and led them to the operating theaters, urgently beginning the life-saving procedures. Although reattaching the limbs was impossible due to the severe damage, they focused on stabilizing the patients and saving their lives.
When Vasu heard the news, he immediately rushed to the hospital. The operation was still ongoing, and his men who had been guarding the room were regaining consciousness. They, too, were horrified by what had happened and feared for their own lives.
Mustering their courage, they told Vasu every detail of the attack. They had no other way to explain the situation, so they recounted how "Daya" had swiftly overpowered them and committed the brutal assault.
Fuming with anger, Vasu ordered his men to search for Daya everywhere, including the police station. He was determined to find and punish the man responsible for the attack on his brothers.
