Chương 13: Chapter 11: Dancing in the Mud
The 'hell' started with Song Jeongin.

The bane of my life~]
The song [Bane] started playing in the speakers.
It was the tittle track of [Chained] the newly-released comeback album of the popular boy group [Kitsch].
Song Jeongin's body swayed with the wind.
Although his legs were buried in the mud, he was still able to dance smoothly to the song.
[~I wonder what sins I made
To be given the poison you brewed
I really need a break
After getting my life screwed~]
The song stopped playing.
"Wow! You're strength and balance is no joke!" Kang Sejin clapped his hands in amazement.
"As expected of a trainee from [Cloud Entertainment."
"Shhh! We don't even know if he's really from that agency."
"Remember? We have to keep the name of our agency a secret!"
"I remember! This is a special mission."
"But honestly, I can already see that Song Jeongin will get the most screentime in [Cap-Teen-Vating]."
"Yes, that's right! He has this main character aura--"
"Sigh... He's surely gonna be one of the PD's pick."
The other trainees discussed with each other.
"Thank you." Song Jeongin bowed 90°.
"Okay, okay. Such a nice kid!" Kang Sejin was flattered at the respect the trainee showed him.
"So, who's next?"
"I chose Choi Geon."

"His visuals are no joke."
"Yes, he has this unique air around him."
"Choi Geon vould be very much also from a large agency."
"I agree with you."
"Maybe that's why Song Jeongin chose him."
"I can already the feel rivalry between them!"
The other trainees once again discussed with each other.
Song Jeongin walked out from the hole at the same time Geon emerged from the crowd of trainees.
They walk passed each other.
"Wow!"
"They're like the male lead and second lead in a manga!"
"Sigh, you and your weird addiction..."
"Being a fan of mangas is not weird!"
"Yeah, but I saw your magazines--"
"Choi Geon is handsone and charming, but Song Jeongin's visuals are really out-of-the-world."
"His personality is a little bit weird though."
"Yeah, unlike the confident and playful Choi Geon, Song Jeongin is too honest and gullible."
Geon put his right leg in the mud first.
The next moment...
Swish!
Everyone's jaw dropped on the ground (not literally).
Why?
Because his right foot slipped in the mud, causing his whole body to fall to the hole.
"The fall wasn't counted, right?" Geon scratched the back of his neck.
"W-well..." Kang Sejin was the first to regain his posture.
"Since you weren't dancing to a song yet, the fall just now wasn't counted." He explained.
Geon sighed in relief.
He wiped the beads of sweat on his forehead.
Once again, everyone's jaw dropped on the ground (not literally).
Because the hand he used to wipe his forehead, had mud on it.
And so, Geon became the mud monster.
'Good. I was able to get everyone's attention with my little stunt.' Geon celebrated inside his head.
Call him attention-seeker all you want, he's a former gangster with a thick face. (*Rolls eyes*)
"Okay, then... Let the song play in 1, 2, 3...!" The trainees counted with Kang Sejin.
Geon prepared his muscles.
He was expecting to dance to a sexy or energetic song since Song Jeongin got an R&B type a few minutes ago.
But...
Oh, well.
'Fuck shit?!' Geon's foul side returned.
[~The world might end tommorow
But don't be scared~]
A ballad song played in the speakers.
Are the operators deaf?!

However, Geon had no choice but to dance to the song.
Kang Sejin specifically told everyone that not dancing is equivalent to falling in the mud.
The trainees were allowed to improvice actions.
After all, the songs that would be played was random.
Kang Sejin told the trainees to get ready.
But Geon didn't expect a ballad song to be played on his turn!
The 17-year-old sighed internally as he danced to [Window]'s [For Love].
Of course, he improvised the choreo.
[~Pat my shoulder so I'll know
How much happier I made you~]
His body was very flexible.
It was his natural talent.
His movements were also sharp.
However, a C grade is still a C grade.
Geon's dancing skills was far too lacking compare to the great Song Jeongin.
The trainees were amazed though.
Since Geon was able to dance freely as if his foot was not buried in the mud.

It was definitely not because the song was ballad.
Why?
Because the choreo Geon used was the choreo of [The City You Ruined], the song he performed on the stage yesterday.
That one performance where he fell on his butt, but still rose like a professional.
Here's the twist: he made each movements slow so it would fit to the slow tempo of [For Love].
Here's the real twist: his movements were too fucking awkward.
But he didn't stop dancing.
Nor did he fell in the mud.
He passed.

The trainee prioritized showing his abilities than maintining balance.
He was the fifth to dance in the mud after Geon chose the little hamster, Zhang Chen.

He fell on his butt.
The mud covered the lower part of his body.
Kang Sejin smiled at the trainee.
"Better luck on the next activity, buddy."

Gunnar, with an awkward smile, tried to look cool as he danced to the iconic theme song of the kids' show [Miracle Lady: Power Up].
[~A, B, C (I'm powerful)
1, 2, 3 (I'll reach the goal)
Miracle lady on the way
To fight bad guys and save the day!~]
The trainees, including Kang Sejin, bursted out laughing as they watch the 15-year-old dance at the cringey song.
A moment later...
"Ah, that was a great performance. You did well!" Kang Sejin gave Gunnar a thumbs up.
"Thank you." The 15-year-old trainde bowed as way kf showing respect.
"Kids these days are really respectful..." Kang Sejin sighed in admiration.
Gosh, if only you know...
"So, who's the lucky trainee you had chosen as your successor, [Miracle Lady]?" Kang Sejin joked, causing the trainees to chuckle.
The corners of Gunnar's lips curved up.
He stared at the direction where Kudō Aoi was standing.
Geon, who witnessed all of these, rubbed his nonexistent mustache.
"I chose my (old and ugly) best friend, Aoi. His full name is Kudō Aoi."
