There was a Sichuan pepper tree in the space, and Luo Qiao picked some leaves. She had prepared the cornmeal in advance, dividing it into two portions to let it rest, with one portion mixed with Sichuan pepper leaves, pepper powder, salt, and also two eggs.

The eggs were from wild chickens she had caught in the mountains and placed in the space; they were enough to satisfy her cravings for now, and once the chicks she was raising started to lay eggs, she could eat them to her heart's content.

Just thinking about it made her happy, and she couldn't help humming a song while cooking.

She handled the fish, cut it into pieces, and marinated it; by the time it stewed, it would be perfect to eat with the pancakes. She had enjoyed this meal with her classmates at a farmhouse restaurant before, and the taste was truly great.

Once she finished preparing the side ingredients and the fish was marinated enough, she started working on the pancake dough again after setting the fish to stew.
