40.47% Mr. Wilson Touch Me / Chapter 17: 17

Chương 17: 17

The sun settles on my face, I place my hand over my eyes to fade the rays above me, I find myself lying in bed with a single reddish shirt that reaches my thighs, I couldn't remember what had happened the previous afternoon.

On the way to the small table on the balcony, the coffee is served with a few cookies, I take a seat and without further ado I dip one of them into the coffee.

"Did you like breakfast?" Matthew asks, watching me eat breakfast.

—Sure—I slowly bite the cookie—; Do you like some?

"No thanks, by the way, today you're going back to London, your father wants you there," he says while adjusting the silver cufflinks on each sleeve.

—Very well, I'll call you to see what time my flight leaves.

"It's not necessary, your flight leaves in an hour," he says, raising one of his eyebrows, it seems strange, but I don't take it into account.

I finish eating breakfast and start packing everything back into my suitcase, I say goodbye to Matthew kissing the corner of his lips, I cross the hotel door without turning to look at him. Deep down I wanted to split myself in two to be in two places at the same time.

I sigh and get into the taxi. “To the airport, please.”

"Because you're so thoughtful, miss," he says, the taxi driver looking at me in the rearview mirror.

—Have you ever wanted to be in two places at the same time—my gaze locks onto his, with a frown, wishing that he would give me an answer that would cheer me up.

—Of course, but it's so difficult, thinking that your heart stays somewhere and that you go somewhere else is totally sad.

In my mind I only replayed the thousand times that Matthew and I had made love, and as is life, you meet someone without knowing that they will move your whole world.

I am quite sentimental, and crybaby in a way, I hate missing, but I am fascinated that others miss me in a certain way, because I know that they care about me.

I get out of the taxi and give him a ticket without him giving me the change, I walk inside, a voice in my head says stay, but deep down I also want to leave to go see my family, I sit down and wait for them to notify my flight, I immediately managed to perceive a boy in the distance, that gait and his bearing I could recognize him even with my eyes closed, without a doubt it was Matthew, I dropped my suitcases and ran to meet him, I jumped, entangling my legs at the height of his waist, my hands surround her neck and my nose is immersed in her neck inhaling her sweet aroma.

"You thought I wasn't going to say goodbye to you," he whispers, caressing my hair.

—The truth is that I never imagined that you would come to the airport — I laugh, getting off of him.

—I wanted to come and wish you a good trip—He pulls me to his lap making my ear rest on his chest—I would like to talk about what happened yesterday, I can't stop thinking about it.

We gave one last kiss, and I head to the plane looking forward to seeing him again in a couple of days. I wave my hand goodbye to him in the distance.

He arrived in London, the rain is too strong, hail falling, carefully and with an umbrella in my hands I run inside so as not to get wet, Jack and Make are standing there, it is nice to see them again after so long. Without hesitation I hug them at the same time while kissing their cheeks.

"How's everything going?" I say, amazed, looking at Mike's engagement ring.

"We're getting married on Saturday," Jack says, "and we want you to be our maid of honor."

—Ah, that's why they sent me to bring truth—river— Of course I accept, but why so fast?

—Not so much because of that, you forget your birthday, right, it's Thursday—Mike responds—Jack's parents don't accept our courtship and when we get married we will go live in New York.

—You don't know how sorry I am for that, Jack, they know that I will always be here for whatever they need.

“And tell us what you tell us,” says Jack.

—Do you remember the university partner?

"Yes," they respond at the same time.

—I have something with him, although I am not his girlfriend yet.

—Don't let them use you or want to spend time with you having sex—Jack frowns and then gives me a smile.

—Ju, we have to tell you something—Mike looks at Jack and appears hesitant, they were hiding something and they didn't want to tell me.

"Tell me, don't leave me wondering," I twist my mouth, but in reality I was preparing for the news.

—Do you remember the time we were talking on the phone? —Mike asks.

"Of course I'd forget it if I left you talking to yourself that day," I commented, somewhat surprised.

—That day your father became very ill, he fainted and they took him to the emergency room.

—And that they diagnosed him.

—Your father has cancer Julia and your mother told Matthew not to tell you anything that same day.

Those words echo in my head over and over again, CANCER, this must undoubtedly be a bad joke, my father can't have that, especially at this moment. I hold my head trying to assimilate the news. I take the cell phone

.

I search for the number with a trembling hand. “What hospital are they at?” I growl without letting him say anything.

—We're at home—My mother's voice is heard agitated.

"I'll go right now," she exclaimed, angry for hiding the news from me and not being the one to tell me.

I left my suitcases there with Mike and Jack, I wanted to see my father, you never know when it could be the last moment of your life, I wanted to tell him how much I loved him and tell him how proud I was to be his daughter, that thanks to him I am the woman I always wanted to be.

I get into the first taxi I find, the driver was going too fast. I get off in a corner of the house and run until I reach it, my heart was beating a thousand per hour, I grab the handle and open it suddenly.
