Jannie scoffed, "What do you know? Uncle Lion doesn't like people touching his stuff. One time during dinner, Rosaria kindly tried to help him with his coat, but Uncle Lion just threw it away."
Rosaria's eyes darkened, and she inwardly blamed Jannie for speaking out of turn.
The humiliation she experienced back then still makes her grind her teeth in anger whenever she thinks about it.
On the surface, however, she pretended as if nothing had happened and simply asked condescendingly, "Miss Young, I see that this coat is quite expensive. Can you afford to pay for it if you just take it like that?"
For the first time, Lizette heard about Lion's strange habit.
Although the clothes were given to her by Lion willingly, she had no intention of explaining it to Rosaria.
