Caroline kicked him again, "I really want to choke you right now!"
Unexpectedly, Eddison replied, "I'd like to do that to you too."
Caroline really couldn't bear it anymore. She stood up and walked over to him, then she wrapped her hands around his neck and choked him hard.
"Be serious, Devil Eddi!"
Eddison didn't laugh. He was afraid that if he did, she would choke him even tighter. If that happened, she would have to use up a lot of energy.
Once she loosened her hands, he pulled out a chair for her to sit next to him. Then, he waited for her to drink a spoonful of soup before speaking.
"Caroline, I've always been serious."
His tone sounded solemn. Caroline stopped drinking her soup, her ears felt warm.
"You'd better finish up your soup." She pointed to the bowl of soup in front of her and changed the topic.
"Okay," Eddison answered. He stood up, leaned forward, and took the bowl.
