Revered Magus chapter 18 – Inheritance
After checking his status and seeing the effects of ranking from 1st rank to 3rd rank mage apprentice, Rio judged that besides his dantian being reinforced which could carry more mana and make manipulating mana a bit easier, there wasn't much difference.
Rio pushed the large door open and walked into a large dimly lit room where he saw a saw some ice-like glass, however instead of being transparent with clouded.
Rio entered and the door shut behind him. Though his guard was already up, however, his guard has been the highest it's ever been. Rio had both his enchanted weapons in both hands, ready for an attack.
"child, no need to fear, I bring upon you no harm."
"What the hell, who was that!?" Rio shouted looking in every direction trying to locate the source of the voice.
"Calm down, child, fear me not as instead of harm I shall bring you eternal benefits." The mysterious voice suddenly enshrouded on top of the glass like a genie coming out of its lamp.
"What are you?" Rio asked cautiously, preparing to defend against any attack.
"My descendant, no need to fear, since you opened the door, it proves you are the descendant of me, Tiamat the Greatest Dragon to ever live!" Rio said in an opposing tone as if everything under the heavens is under his control.
"Descendant?"
"Yes, when you touched the door, you must have noticed that it immediately opened and also you have the pure purple eyes that only the rare black dragons possess" he replied
"Black dragons? It seems I've learned something crucial"
"So, is this a holograph or?"
"I don't know what the holograph, is but if you're talking about what I am, this is a remnant soul that has been left behind to give my inheritance to my descendants." He answered
'Inheritance? What inheritance? And he mentioned descendant? the system didn't we get here by destroying the rune on the door?'
[Ding! Yes…there seems to be a bloodline testing mechanic that can sense the blood of the person, however since the mechanism seemed to be hidden under the rune, the system failed to detect it and henceforth used all your mana reserve to destroy the cover rune]

"So, what's the inheritance?" Rio asked the spirit curiously.

He continued to say "the inheritance is my memory shard; this contains all my life memory from the moment of birth to the moment of death" he exclaimed
"Memory shard? do you mean that peace of clouded glass?" Rio asked
"Indeed child, with this you can learn and see over 100,000 years of my life, however for you to take it in, you would be unconscious for 5 years living as me and experiencing what I went through firsthand. So, the child are you ready to accept it?" He questioned Rio, preparing to start the process
"Five years? Wouldn't I die of hunger and thirst, thinking about it now, I haven't even eaten today? Oh, never mind I think I ate breakfast but that's beside the point, I would die of hunger" Rio said
"Worry not child, during the 5 years of you absorbing my knowledge you would be protected and preserved by what's left of my World energy essence." Rio comforted
"World energy? What's that- "
"Don't worry child, just say do you accept my inheritance?" He said cutting me off
"Yes!" Rio said sternly, even though Rio still had his guard up against the so-called spirit, absorbing the knowledge of 100,000 years is not something that one can pass up.

Rio slowly opened his eyes and a gigantic lizard…no this lizard had wings…wait, is this a this is a D-DRAGON??
'What the hell, why are you staring at me? I knew I shouldn't have trusted the spirit, and I just had a new start at life.'
'I won't go down fighting. Bring it on you oversized lizard, you think I'm scared of you just because a little big and a little scary looking' Rio tried to shout at it, however, it was replaced by a low roar
'What the hell, was that me?' As Rio was in a state of shock, panic, and confusion the Huge black dragon came closer to Rio and started licking him.
'Ahhhhahahah, what a pitiful end, being a snack to a dragon, what a pitiful life' Rio thought hopelessly
About a minute passed
'Is this dragon having fun, it's been licking me for over a minute and still hasn't had one bit. It's unfortunate I still can't move.' Rio thought. Rio was suddenly picked up and finally saw something apart from the huge dragon.
Rio saw the sky, it seems he was in a cave, however different from the one he was in since this cave seemed to be naturally created.
Finally, Rio started feeling sensations in 5 places…' wait for 5?? There's no way I can be aroused right now, and there's also no way I can move my manhood like this…is that a… tail?' Rio was shocked
Things started falling into place and Rio finally calmed down, Rio thought it was mostly due to knowing that his limbs haven't been chopped off and he could see the blue sky.
'Am I a dragon' as the thought entered his mind, 2 extra "limbs" seemed to be standing erect on his back? 'This must be my wings. I wish I had a mirror to see' he thought and then he realized what the spirit said. This must be his memory and Rio just here viewing it.
Rio spent a week in the cave with 2 dragons trading shifts protecting him. Pretty sure it's the spirit's parent. Over this week Rio has been trying to move his body parts, however, he couldn't
It seems Rio can just watch it like he was watching a VR movie except he can feel the actions and pain this body feels.
'I just hope he doesn't grow up to be a reckless person.' Rio had a flashback at his spirit attitude, never mind, better to steel myself'.
