Chương 139: Chapter 139

At the camp, a small puff of smoke materialized beside Jiraiya, and the communication toad appeared, carrying words from the Third Hokage.

Jiraiya's face lit up as he accepted it, patting the toad on the head before pulling out a small insect bowl. The toad bowed, pocketed its prize, and disappeared in another puff of smoke.

"It's done," Jiraiya announced with a grin, his confidence in the Third Hokage's support evident.

Takeshi, perched near the edge of the tent, flicked his tail and gave a skeptical, "Meow~ No written proof?"

Minato blinked, momentarily taken aback by the cat's audacity. 'Proof? Does a Hokage's word not suffice?' he thought, his forehead creasing slightly.

"What if he doesn't admit to it later—" Takeshi began, his tone dripping with mock innocence, but he was cut short by a sharp tap from Jiraiya.

Jiraiya was still quite protective of his Sensei, he wouldn't tolerate anyone bad mouthing or insinuating things about him.

"Enough of that," Jiraiya growled, his expression stern. He wouldn't tolerate insinuations against his Sensei, no matter how playful they sounded.

With a brisk wave of his hand, he gestured for Minato to take Takeshi out of the tent. "Go on, both of you. I'll handle this myself."

Minato nodded, recognizing the urgency in his sensei's tone. Time was precious, especially on the brink of war. He guided the protesting cat out of the tent, muttering, "Let's not add to Jiraiya-sensei's worries right now."

Once outside, Jiraiya sighed, rubbing his temples. Though he trusted the Third Hokage completely, he couldn't ignore the possibility of political complications, and he was worried that if the Third Hokage had an accident one day and Minato had to compete for the position of Hokage, "some" people in the village might refuse to accept that and create a nuisance.

He grimaced, picturing the chaos if Danzo 'that one-eyed bastard,' he muttered to himself, tried to seize control. The sheer idea made his skin crawl.

After a moment of contemplation, Jiraiya picked up a fresh sheet of paper and wrote another message. He summoned the communication toad once more. "I need you to return to the Third Hokage and ask for a written response this time," he instructed. The toad gave a dutiful nod and vanished into thin air, leaving Jiraiya to his thoughts.

Meanwhile, outside the tent, Takeshi huffed dramatically, waving his little claws in mock indignation. His tail bristled as if he was angry by being kicked out.

Minato chuckled, kneeling to pet the feline's head. "Don't worry, Takeshi. Jiraiya-sensei will handle everything. He's just... a bit overprotective sometimes."

He was a bit carefree, but he believed in the Third Hokage, and believed that Jiraiya sensei would help them.

"Meow, I'm ready," Takeshi said, his eyes shining with determination.

Minato, stood up and gestured for him to follow. "Alright, let's get started. I'll teach you the Flying Thunder God technique. But I need you to focus. This isn't something to take lightly."

"Meow, I'm ready!" Takeshi replied, his small frame brimming with a confidence that belied his size. Internally, he scoffed. 'Flying Thunder God? Piece of cake. I've already mastered it. This is just for appearances.'

Minato crouched slightly, his gaze serious as he began to explain. "The foundation of the Flying Thunder God lies in creating precise spatial coordinates. Once you've established the coordinates, you must sense the space and traverse through it. But let me be clear—this process is incredibly dangerous. Even I can't guarantee your safety if something goes wrong. Are you sure you want to proceed?"

Although Flying Thunder God was very important for the village, it was also extremely dangerous.

When he first learned it, he was prepared to die. Space and time were the most complex things in the world. If it was just space it might've been simple but the variable of time increases complexity exponentially.

Minato nodded, though his tone remained grave. "Good. Now, let me emphasize something critical. If your spatial coordinates are even slightly off, or if there are fluctuations in your chakra while shuttling through space, the results could be catastrophic. You could end up in the wrong location or worse—scattered across dimensions."

Such outcomes was often fatal. It was an extremely dangerous endeavor. It's S-level forbidden ranking jutsu, is well deserved.

"Meow~ Got it.", Takeshi flicked his tail, maintaining his calm demeanor. 'It's just Flying Thunder God. I've already mastered it. This is just theatrics.'

Minato nodded slightly, and then began to explain the specific use of Flying Thunder God. "It's relatively simple," he said, trying to reassure Takeshi. "Let's start with something simple. Use the spatial coordinates you marked on the table earlier," Minato instructed. His eyes were sharp, his body poised to intervene should anything go awry. "Remember, I'll do everything I can to ensure your safety."

"Meow," Takeshi responded, then bent his body, pretending to be very cautious, and then cautiously took a few steps back...

Minato was wondering if he had scared the cat. However, the next second, the cat disappeared from the spot without a sound, and appeared on the table next to him in an instant, looking at Takeshi's expression, he seemed quite confused.

Well, confusion was to be expected when using Flying Thunder God for the first time. Minato thought to himself.

Minato's eyes widened. For a moment, his breath caught in his throat. 'Did he just... succeed? On the first try?!'

Although his expression quickly became calm after a second, he was actually very uneasy in his heart.

'This cat succeeded in first try! I still recall how many months I spent stuck on this process, I have lost my hair, my clothes and almost lost my leg once while teleporting.' Fortunately, he didn't get any permanent injuries... But this cat is unscathed!

"Meow? Did I do it right?" Takeshi asked cautiously, his eyes shining with uncertainty. Although he didn't open the system panel, he could just feel the amounts of points Minato is providing, Minato must be in a very uneasy mood.

Minato hesitated, forcing a smile. "Not bad. Let's increase the distance for the next attempt. But be more cautious this time. Any unnecessary chakra fluctuations could be disastrous."

"Meow," Takeshi responded immediately, and then thought about how to help Minato calm down abit.

He thought it might be better if he looked nervous and embarrassed after the teleporting. So, he quickly teleported a second time.

This time, when he came out, he looked worried and scared, and his fur was messy, as if he was overly panicked. But he was unharmed.

Minato flew to his side, then sighed softly, and as he empathized with this cat, he still remembered his own wounds when he traveled long distance for the first time... "Congratulations, you succeeded."

"Meow!" Takeshi pretended to be surprised, but he found that Minato's mood did not seem so sunny as he usually is.

Takeshi's eyes widened as he let out a delighted "Meow!" Inside, though, he was quietly smug. His system panel confirmed what he already knew—Minato had just awarded him another massive chunk of points. By his estimate, his total had surpassed 14,000.

He would soon reach 15,000. These are all contributions of Minato, Jiraiya, and the Third Hokage.

Although the exact number is unknown, Takeshi thought that Minato's contribution is the greatest.

He has played enough with Minato for today. Takeshi chose to remain silent.

Minato, on the other hand, was grappling with a mix of awe and unease. Takeshi's rapid mastery of the Flying Thunder God was nothing short of miraculous. Yet, it left him questioning his own abilities. He was known as a prodigy, but today, a one-year-old cat had outshone him.

While , he had no jealous thoughts towards Takeshi. On the contrary, he is quite happy. Takeshi mastered Flying Thunder God, and there were two ninjas who could use Flying Thunder God in his team.

Still, there was no envy in Minato's heart. On the contrary, he felt a surge of pride. With Takeshi as his teammate, their squad now had two users of the Flying Thunder God—a formidable advantage.

But his pride was quickly overshadowed by a nagging concern. 'If Takeshi stays on my team, our missions are bound to increase in difficulty. Kakashi and the others will have to step up... Are they ready for that?'

The only thing lacking would be experience... So, it should take some time.

When Minato thought of this, he began to worry about Obito and the rest of his team again - if two jonins who mastered Flying Thunder God stayed in the same team, the difficulty of the team's missions would inevitably increase. They might be given S rank missions.

'Could they keep up?' He was a little worried.

'It seems that we should seize this time for special training.' Minato scratched his head, but couldn't think of a way of what kind of special training for them would be useful.

After all, it was his first time to become a Jonin, and he had no practical teaching students... He was at a loss.

He scratched his head, deep in thought. His gaze fell on Takeshi, who was busy grooming himself. "Takeshi," he said slowly, "I think we need to prepare Kakashi and the others for the challenges ahead. What kind of special training do you think would work best?"

"Meow?" 'That's a good question.' Takeshi fell into deep thought.

Taking inspiration from bell test, Takeshi decided to add some changes... He clapped his paws, took out something and said: "This is a training prop for the ninja cats to train. I asked the cat from Cat Castle for this, maybe it will be useful, meow."

Minato raised an eyebrow as he examined the object—a small, intricately designed likely high grade mouse puppet. "What is this?"

Takeshi grinned mischievously. "Try injecting chakra into it, meow."
