Hearing the nonsense from outside, Su Xiaoxiao was so enraged that she felt like her head was about to burst.
She sprang up from the sofa, and Mrs. Su quickly followed suit.
Su Xiaoxiao sternly said, "Mom, don't stop me. They're out there spreading rumors."
"I'm not stopping you, but I need to give them a piece of my mind. A mouth is not just for spewing filth. Stand behind me and be careful not to get scratched," Mrs. Su instructed worriedly, then rushed to the kitchen to fetch a rolling pin.
Su Xiaoxiao followed her into the kitchen. With nothing else available, she simply grabbed a kitchen knife from the cutting board.
Mrs. Su was startled and hurriedly took the knife away from her. "What do you need a knife for in an argument? What if someone gets hurt and it ends up being your fault?"
As she spoke, she looked around and finally went back to their room to fetch an old belt from Mr. Su. She handed it to Su Xiaoxiao.
