Cynthia's eyelashes trembled, and she remained silent. Tristan's dark eyes stared at her unwaveringly, a hint of amusement concealed within his gaze, along with an imperceptible sharpness. "Since you stepped through that door, haven't you imagined all possible scenarios in your mind?"

Seeing Cynthia silent, Tristan simply bent down, lifted her horizontally, and walked with large strides towards the bedroom. The bedroom was not lit, and the curtains were not drawn. The night outside happened to cast a dim light through the bright French windows. The dim light outlined his well-defined face even more profoundly.

Lying on the bed, Cynthia pulled the blanket up to her chest. She vaguely heard the sound of Tristan removing his clothes, then felt a slight depression behind her, followed by a powerful arm hooking around her waist. They were tightly pressed together, and Cynthia could clearly feel his leg muscles.
