Essences are spiritual vessels bestowed upon every living figure in ApexRise Online. These are vessels attached to the heart, and can only be seen or noticed after that particular carrier is dead.

It was a precious creation and was the only thing that could help humans wield magic. Although Beasts and Monsters had Essences, and just as Human Essences help them wield magic, Terror Essences help them in brutality stimulation.

Without an Essence, one cannot use magic. They might gain Abilities, but they wouldn't be able to use them due to the failure of Impulse Points reacting on one's Essence to make it happen.

Tyler got these explanations as he was at the front of danger with the help of the game system... The Devourers were stunned at this moment, noticing that Tyler was now seeing clearly in the dark. They were stunned, however, that didn't stop them from plotting and figuring a way to strike him down.
