Naruto returned to the hotel with his group a moment later while they waited for nightfall.
"Stay alert to anything that happens," Naruto requested as they organized for the following day.
"Naruto..." Akame approached Naruto.
"Yes?" He looked at her.
"What happened to me?" She asked.
"Your eyes have changed... Who can say this better than you..." He began. "We don't have time now, but soon we can test if you've gotten stronger," he advised.
Akame nodded even though she had many doubts about what was happening, but Naruto would talk more later.
They stayed at the inn for the rest of the night while remaining vigilant to anything, Naruto could feel they were surrounded. But there were only eyes watching them all night long.
"Why are they acting like this?" He couldn't help but ask, curious about who might be hunting them and it seemed to be someone powerful; there were even jonins among their watchers by the strength he was detecting.
However, their watchers did not act during the night, just observing, and soon the next morning arrived. Everyone got up and took some food from the scroll, after all, they hadn't even rented the room and ate in silence without any comment.
It was after a while that they nodded, putting on their masks and preparing to leave, while Naruto took a new blade from Akame's scroll, since he had ruined the last one in the fight against Danzou.
"It must be your hundredth sword in a year..." Kimimaro commented, and Naruto did not disagree; he had been switching weapons all the time due to the fragility they have to keep up with how he uses them, but Naruto was already looking for a blade that could withstand his armament haki which, even though it hardens the blade, wore it out easily.
'If only I could have a supreme grade blade in this world...' he thought, but soon set that thought aside imagining he would find a good solution to his problem.
"Shall we go then?" Akame asked, and Naruto nodded through his mask, and they jumped through the window heading directly to the guild. Upon arriving at the place and passing through the usual security, the atmosphere continued to be hostile to them as they entered.
The man continued cleaning his glasses without caring about them, but Naruto could feel that the man was detailing each of their moves, much more than he usually does.
"Light! Good to see you," the man greeted him. Naruto just nodded.
"Well, as I said yesterday, I have a proposal for you, but first let me ask if the meeting with the client went well?" He asked in a gentle tone.
"Everything went well, we are waiting for him to perform the autopsy on the target's body before receiving the money," Naruto said.
"That's good, I hope he sends the guild's commission," the man spoke. "Now let me put this glass away before we continue to the next venture," he said, moving away from the counter and storing the glass he was cleaning.
"Light... They're all watching us..." Akame approached Naruto while feeling everyone in the guild, as they drank at their tables, watching them from the corner of their eyes, with quite tense looks.
They pretended to be on an ordinary day, but they could see many new faces. Kimimaro approached Naruto. "I know this feeling, they are from Kiri!" he said, and Naruto nodded.
"Any problems?" The usual bartender approached.
"Everything is fine," Naruto responded as the man had a sparkle in his eyes.
"Great, come with me," he said, and the group followed him as they went to the back of the bar and descended the stairs to the mission room.
The place was dark as always, but there was no one viewing the mission boards, which was very strange. Then they followed calmly until they finally found a man in the middle of the place.
"This is the client," the man introduced while the employer... was wearing a cloak, until they approached and he showed his face to them.
"Hello, I am Subaru. I've heard a lot about you," he spoke while Naruto and the others stood just a few meters from him.
"Hello," Naruto responded behind his mask while noticing the Bartender approached very closely.
"I want to hire your services," he began, but Naruto interrupted him.
"Come on, stop this nonsense, I know this is a trap, what I want to know is why you are after us, shinobis of the Water Country," Naruto asked directly.
The room immediately tensed up as Naruto continued. "There are 15 people in this room, 12 enemies if we exclude us three," Naruto spoke, even considering the bartender as his enemy after a year of working together. After he set this up, Naruto wouldn't let him live any longer.
"..." The man was silent for a while as the shadows around them still made no movement. "Oh, I must say I didn't know you are a sensor ninja... despite hearing a lot about you, Light. They say you are a ninja so fast that you commit a massacre in the blink of an eye... but is it true?" He said with a smile, no longer needing to hide his scheme, as the Bartender also had a serious look.
"I am here for a reason, an order from my Mizukage, in this room there is a member of the Kaguya clan, we are here to kill him, you could hand him over to us, I might even let you and the girl leave alive," he said with a smile.
Kimimaro tensed up. Naruto just sighed. "Do you think I'm a fool? I would never hand over my companion, and even if I did, you would never let us go..." Naruto mocked, after all, he could see the hostile aura directed at him from the man.
"Hahaha. You are smart, after all, killing him would be a big boost to my reputation, so I will kill him anyway," he said with a sinister smile.
"Shall we begin?" Naruto asked calmly and took a coin out of his pocket. "Do you see this coin?" He showed it in the dim light of the room.
"Hm?" The man raised an eyebrow at that.
"I will toss it in the air, before it hits the floor, I will kill 11 of you... Do you want to bet?" Naruto spoke, leaving the man speechless at such a statement while the Bartender was also at a loss for words as to what he was hearing, while Akame and Kimimaro prepared for battle.
"You really think you're that strong, Light. Let's see if you can really get out of here alive," the man snarled.
"Tsk... You know, I never showed my true strength to anyone other than my companions, after all, everyone who saw my real capabilities is dead now..." Naruto spoke, only two people survived to see his abilities which were Itachi and the masked man, but no one knew that he was Light.
Before the man could respond, the coin flew up, while it bounced into the air in the middle of the room making a sound and everyone without exception looked at it.
"You're dead!" the man snarled as the coin passed between Naruto and the Kiri ninja and fell to the ground.
Suddenly, everything seemed to slow down, while the man raised his hand and 4 ninjas appeared in each corner of the room, activating a fuuinjutsu that began to traverse the floor, intending to trap them all before the ninjas who were running across the ceiling towards the group.
Everything seemed to happen slowly, as the symbols began to traverse the floor, while Kimimaro and Akame failed to act in time looking stunned here, the only sound was breathing and the symbols hitting the feet of Naruto's companions, as they also approached him.
It was at the moment they were about to attack coming in slow motion, that Naruto calmly raised his head, he decided to act, the fuuinjutsu ink as it was about to hit him was just catching air while the man in front of him couldn't react as the blade cut his neck, removing it and Naruto turned into light illuminating the room, while all this still happened slowly.
Naruto moved his sword after one movement and it was on the Bartender who couldn't react while his eyes were cut by Naruto with him slowly opening his mouth screaming with blood spurting from his face from the line Naruto had made from one eye to the other.
He looked at the men coming towards them taking each step slowly while they couldn't even imagine how they were about to die without being able to react to Naruto's high speed of movement.
Akame and Kimimaro were trying to leave, but the fuuinjutsu lines had already caught their legs and they couldn't move, while having slow expressions of anger on their faces behind the masks.
Naruto traveled to the first target walking on the ceiling, cutting off his head, he traveled to the second also decapitating him, then to the third, fourth, fifth on that side, while transforming into light and traveling to the last on the ceiling also decapitating him.
Blood had already spread all over the place, even more as it flowed with gravity while the bodies detached from the ceiling because they were dead, all of this continuing to happen in slow motion. Still, Naruto could see the eyes of his companions slowly widening as the four men who had cast the fuuinjutsu looked terrified, trying to leap forward, for they were witnessing a line of light sweeping across the room and massacring everyone.
Naruto appeared beside the first, killing him without reaction like the last, and continued as he sliced the other three while traveling with his pika pika no mi, finishing the entire group.
The coin made the sound of hitting the floor, having only fallen 50 cm while all this happened.
Akame and Kimimaro were just watching the coin fall at the start, not knowing what would happen. Suddenly, when it was near the ground, a bunch of seals appeared on the floor and trapped them, but a light swept across the room, and a moment later, everyone was headless while falling to the floor with blood spreading everywhere as the coin hit the ground.
"AHHHHHHHH," the Bartender screamed as he touched his eyes at that moment, falling backward while the seals that had trapped them disappeared.
Naruto reappeared in front of his companions, ignoring the man screaming in pain.
"Well, we're done with the first batch of enemies, we have more outside waiting for us..." Naruto commented as if he had not just committed a massacre.
"That..." Kimimaro murmured, frowning at all the blood in the room.
"I said I would kill 11 people here, leave you alive, at least a part of you," Naruto spoke as he approached the bartender, who was writhing on the floor.
"Why?" He shouted while trying to stop the bleeding in fear.
"I never had anything against you, but from the moment you sold us out, this was the outcome. You think you can kill us just because one of the 5 villages sent to kill us... That's why I'm going to destroy the guild, I wanted you to know that. After all, you can die now knowing why this happened," Naruto spoke calmly, as people from the upstairs began to move.
"Wait, I had no choice! They are the Mist Village! Don't kill me!" The man immediately begged not to die. He was sure that Light couldn't be so powerful, so he had confidence that as soon as the order to kill came from a powerful village with great shinobis to set up an ambush, this was the end of the line for this rising group, his mistake was not being able to guess that Light's strength was much greater than he could imagine.
"It doesn't matter," Naruto said and moved his sword, striking the man's neck as he choked on blood. "Only with your own blood," Naruto finished as he removed the sword, and the man died of hemorrhage while twitching even more and could no longer scream with his throat in that state.
"Now, let's go; we have more ninjas to kill," Naruto said, heading to the stairs.
