None of us were short on food at all, even I still had the other half of the gourmet meat from that one trial, but he still had more than quadruple of what any one of us had.

That definitely lightened things up, and the dirty looks the elder and the two remaining Silver Mystic Tower disciples kept shooting us while we feasted on the luxurious food did so even more. "I bet they don't even try the 8th layer's trial."

Once the food was finished (even if we'd have left any, "leftovers" was a word nowhere to be found in Chen Huan's dictionary) we were certainly as ready for the 8th layer as we were possibly going to be.
