The second time. It was the second time in one month that Lord Daligarth had attended the morning's assembly.
Everyone knew this wasn't good. The Students did, the staff, the teachers as well. The tension was very palpable and it hung in the air of the hall where every seat was filled. From the Low Ranks to the High Ranks, separated by the lines on their uniforms.
But today, no one seemed interested in the usual hierarchy or whispered rivalries. Everyone was focused on the large dais at the front of the hall, where Lord Daligarth stood, visibly annoyed about what happened the last day.
His expression wasn't cold as usual, and his brown eyes scrutinized his students as though searching for an imposter amongst them.
Daligarth sighed, and turned around to glance at Smallbutter, who was simply standing calmly, nothing to say.
