Spheris felt a shiver run down his spine. He stood silent, his entire body frozen, his mind refusing to think of anything that wasn't meaningless commotion. Even the hairs on the back of his neck were standing on end as he recognised the sinister voice of the Dark God.
Talon could sense the change in atmosphere, he could sense the darkness clouding Spheris's mind, and so he leaped off his shoulder, feathers ruffling with unease.
"You're... back," Spheris mumbled, his pupils dilating in direness.
Responding to him, like a whisper carried on the wind, the voice of Obsidian pierced Spheris's mind. 'When did I ever leave? I've always been here, my dear Temple. Have you forgotten? Front row seat.'
Spheris's frown deepened. This meant that everything he had done ever since he left Endswatch — even after being tricked back in Falling Grass — was being watched by Obsidian.
Well, here I am.
I wanted to say a huge thank you to my readers who have always been supportive and followed me throughout the early journeys of TRT. I uploaded this chapter so I could use the opportunity to announce that my very first webnovel story has officially been contracted and is certainly going to be here on the long run.
I can't stress how much your support has helped me to carry on writing. I also wanted to say that The Raven Thief will be going premium very soon, and chapters will be locked from •56. I am sure you understand why.
Thank you once again, and I hope you stick out for Spheris's journey.
Sidenote: This is participating in the WSA, so I would really appreciate your voting, interactions and support as much as your freedom allows you to.
Thanks, again!
