Chương 129: Chapter 129 Retreat

The sky turned orange as soon the sun began to set and the battle between two shinobi villages that was going on for a whole day seemed to be in last stages, most of the remaining shinobi on the battlefield showing tired faces.
BOOM!!!
But at the main battle points there were still explosions from time to time, the huge eight and two tails battling with a wood golem equal to their size, a silver haired man clad in lightning also aiming attacks at the tailed beasts.
"We are lucky that his wood release is nowhere close to the level of first hokage cause if it had been both of us would have been long ago put to rest"
The voice of Gyuki, the eight tails, fell in the ears of killer bee who was busy dealing with the wood golem before him.
"But it's still not something we can underestimate, one mistake and we would be done for good"
The two tails controlled by Yugino seem to have heard what gyuki said to killer bee as seconding his words she reminded them not to let their guard down.
"HA!!"
"It's more tough then I expected… if it weren't for Sakumo-San's distracting them from time to time… I might have been defeated by now"
Standing on top of the wood golem was Nawaki with both hands clasped before his slightly pale face, his breathing heavy also as gazing at the two tailed beasts before him he couldn't help but comment on the situation.
He has been battling both the tailed beast for nearly a whole day and had it not been for sakumo intercepting the deadly attacks of two tailed beasts from time to time, he would have been long defeated.
He wasn't afraid to fight just one but two together seemed too much for him, his wood style nowhere close to the level of the first hokage who once caught all the nine tailed beast by himself.
"Shoo!!"
"That is!!
At this moment all the remaining shinobi on the battlefield noticed a lightning bolt shot towards the sky, instead of dispersing it staying in the air for a few seconds and every kumo shinobi seem to understand what it meant as well.
Hell Stab!!!
Wind Style! Multi Gale Palm!!
Earth Style! Multi-Earth Wall!!!
At another point of the battlefield the third Raikage fully coated in lightning pointing one finger forward leaving an afterimage rushed towards his opponent, five shadow clones of sarutobi before him and the real one way behind.
BOOM!!!
From the palms of shadow clones shot out massive gusts of wind and hit the approaching Raikage though aside from halting his movement a little failing to even leave a slight wound on his body.
Poof!
The Raikage burst through the clones with ease and continued towards the real one but around twenty to thirty thick massive earth walls rose before the real sarutobi, the thunder coated finger of Raikage meeting them.
BOOM!!!
Around thirty earth walls proved nothing more than a piece of paper before the hell stab as Raikage burst through every single one swiftly, dust and rubble flying everywhere.
"HA!!"
But all these obstacles seem to have given sarutobi enough time to distance himself even more from the Raikage, who after destroying the earth walls didn't attack further and just stopped in his tracks with a slightly rugged breath.
The Raikage didn't have a single wound on his body as none of Sarutobi's attack seemed to have worked on him, though he did appear a little exhausted despite being famous for his endurance and durability around the world.
On the other hand, Sarutobi had minor wounds around his body and he clearly looked more exhausted then Raikage but still seemed to have stamina left to keep on fighting for a while more.
"I can see you came prepared, knowing you can't wound me and win head on you decided to exhaust me… as expected of an old fox"
Said Raikage while taking in a huge breath, his eyes with some frustration in them focused on sarutobi.
This fight turned out to be a lot more troublesome than Raikage had expected, the opponent didn't fight in him close quarters at all and maintained distance all this time, making him run around and also deal with tricky jutsu's.
"But none of you seem to have come prepared… you brought an army at least two times more than ours yet all I see around are kumo corpses… you underestimated the leaf too much… Raikage…"
Said Sarutobi as he pointed at some distance, blood had dyed the ground red and mutilated corpses were everywhere to be seen but most of them donned the kumo battle gear.
"Very well… the next time we face each other you'll face the full force of Kumogakure"
"Ha!"
Announced Raikage and let out a long breath, pointing his hand towards the sky as lightning bold shot towards the sky and took the attention of every kumo shinobi.
"Retreat!!"
"Retreat!!"
The Raikage turning into lightning disappeared from Sarutobi's vision, the kumo shinobi under his lead retreating under the setting sun.
"Ha!!"
Sarutobi who was tired himself didn't even think of chasing Raikage as that would only end up in his death, letting out a huge breath going on his knees
"Thud!"
"That was tough!!"
The two tailed beasts on the battlefield vanished and so the wood golem bursting into smoke and disappearing also, Nawaki falling on the ground with a pale face.
The first clash between konoha and Kumogakure forces ended with no apparent big damage to other side, both the armies retreating back to their bases near the battlefield.
In the kumo camp,
"Send a squad back to the village and order Ai to lead two thousand shinobi here, konoha requires our full effort"
"Yes, Raikage Sama"
On the orders of Raikage a squad was sent back to the kumo village to ask for reinforcements though whether it was the squad or Raikage himself, no one even imagined the surprise waiting for them back at the village.
