Chương 43: Searching for balls
Rule no 3. While fighting is allowed, you are not allowed to kill or maim anyone. If you do then you along with your entire team will be disqualified. Obviously we will be keeping close eye on you all. Even an attempt to kill to anyone will result in your disqualification along with your entire team.

Searching for balls
"We don't have much time. What should we do ?" I asked Naruto and Sasuke. Frankly I didn't have any plan in these cases. Finding a non living object in a limited area shouldn't be difficult. But with the time limit and so much competition it is surely very difficult.
But even if we do not search for any balls and wait for others to find and then try to take their ball within time limit then, we should be able to pass. But in that case we have a severe said back that we can't go all out. Same rule applies to our opponents. But it will be very risky.
"We can wait and try to take the ball from another team when they get one." Sasuke suggested the same thing that I was just thinking.
"No I won't work. As we are thinking many people will think the same thing. So in the end there won't be sufficient balls. Not to mention we can go all out considering the strength of our opponent. And that kind of fight can take a long time. And we have a limited time period here." I immidiately denied the idea.
"Naruto kun..." When we are discussing among us, Hinata approached us.
But what surprised me the most was the ball in her hand. It was a white ball with shinobi written in black ink.
"Wow ! Hinata you already find a ball ?" Naruto almost shouted.
I was very surprised as well. I mean, I knew that it would be easy for them because of Hinata's byakugan. But it was just too fast.

"Naruto kun, there are more than 20 balls outside the academy compound. Most of them are within hundred metres away from the compound. I can tell you an exact location." Hinata whispered in Naruto's ears. They were standing in one corner of the playground near the tree. So currently no one is attacking them.
"Thank you Hinata chan !" Naruto honestly thanked her.
"Na-Naruto kun, you can always thank me by doing what we did yesterday." Hinata said shyly.
"Ofcourse !" Naruto replied happily. While the two lovebirds were flirting in middle of the exams, Sasuke and Sakura looked the other way.
Sakura was feeling down because of her lack of relationship while her teammate was flirting openly.
And for Sasuke, 'these things' will hinder his goals.

"Alright guys, We have to find a way to get the ball without going out of the campus." Naruto said to Sasuke and Sakura. Team 8 decided to stick together with them as they have already collected the ball required.
"Tell me the location." Sakura asked Naruto. She could easily get the ball with her owl summon. She could summon a small owl to do the job. And revealing it won't affect much as long as she hides her true summon, Jogo.
Naruto whispered the location that he heard from Hinata, in Sakura's ears. After hearing the exact location Sakura got to work. Weaving through hand signs, she summoned a small owl. Sakura told her summon, about the location in their special sign language. The owl flew towards the location and immediately brought back a ball identical to what team 8 had.
Sakura took out a dead mouse from one of her storage seals on her suit and handed over to the owl in exchange for the ball.
"Now all we have to do is defend our ball till the end of the first phage." Sasuke told after getting the ball.
A few minutes after that, team 10 came towards team 7 with their ball.
Within half an hour most of the balls got collected by different teams.
After that the struggle to get a ball started among teams. Team 7, 8 and 10 stuck together after collecting the balls. During next half an hour, many teams got disqualified because of their violent behaviour. Many didn't got a ball because of their incompetence and lack of power.
At the end of the hour, there were only 30 teams remained.

"Alright maggots those who remain, congratulations for passing the first phase. Now we will move to the second phase of the first round of the chunin exam.
Again listen to me carefully because I am not going to explain it twice.
Every ball you are holding can be opened. You have to open it without breaking it. There will be a sheet of paper inside it. There will be a task written on the paper. The task might be for the entire team or a particular member of the team. If you think that you can complete that task then you stay here, otherwise you leave. But remember, if you fail to complete your task then you along side your entire team will stay as Genin forever.
Now open your respective balls. And don't dare to think that you can exchange it with others.
Come on ! Get to work ! I don't have an entire day for you !"

Sasuke opened the ball. With the help of his sharingan, he was able to open it's locks without breaking it. After taking out the sheet of paper, he unfolded it and started to read it. But then suddenly his eyes widened.
"What is it ?" Naruto asked Sasuke.
"We are going to fail. This task is meant for the kunoichi of our team." He said with an emotionless voice and handed over the sheet to me.
When I read the contents, my eyes widened as well.
