Chương 256: The Twins (1)

It had been a long while since the light curtains showed up. After what happened the last time they showed up, the whole banquet hall was locked down. However, only a few key personnel were told. Fenris and the inner court were left to dance merrily to the loud music while the Black Smoke Corps readied for another breach through their walls.

They just underestimated Fenris's senses. He could tell once the light curtains showed up. He stopped dancing and only excused himself as if retiring for the night. The party continued while he cued Rodnir to stay and man the place.

Kanaru and the inner court followed him, of course. Once they got out, they saw the glimmering light curtains. Joca and Henrik were the first ones to react. Rosamund gazed at Fenris, but the unicorn king only looked at them as well. 

Kanaru expressed his thoughts, "Do you think Adeen and the rest will attack us now? We should be ready. We can't let them step inside our walls."
