The Gedo Statue is the shell of the Ten-Tails, which is indisputable.

Being the shell of the Ten-Tails, the Gedo Statue naturally possesses all the characteristics of the Ten-Tails. Even though it cannot unleash its full power without its "soul," its chakra absorption and body regeneration abilities are pure instincts that it can never lose.

The dark red blade aura, formed by combining natural energy, chakra, and pure power, smoothly cut through one of the pillars on the Gedo Statue's back, slicing it cleanly from the base.

Kyomu didn't touch it with his hand. Instead, he tightened the muscles in his right arm and prepared to deliver another slash to the Gedo Statue, which had crashed into a deep crater.

"How dare you!"

A sudden shout made Kyomu retract his blade and switch to full defense.

The Gedo Statue, having absorbed Nagato's life force and all his chakra, was temporarily revived. Although its combat power was still not strong, it had enough intelligence.

In Sage Mode, Kyomu could easily crush it. Instead of futilely confronting Kyomu, the Gedo Statue aimed to absorb more chakra to strengthen itself, targeting the numerous ninjas on the battlefield or the battling Jinchuriki. Using its purple chakra dragon, it intended to consume their life force and chakra, making it easier to deal with Kyomu later.

As soon as the shout echoed, the purple chakra dragon spewed by the Gedo Statue slithered towards the center of the other battlefield.

At that moment, the forces of both sides were locked in a fierce struggle. If the purple chakra dragon attacked, it would inevitably sweep through many Ryunin.

Kyomu couldn't ignore this.

Teleport!

In a single step, he crossed the ground, instantly appearing hundreds of meters away, blocking the path of the charging purple chakra dragon.

The dragon's fierce head was detailed and menacing, now only three meters from Kyomu.

Meanwhile, the single eye at the top of the Gedo Statue's head gleamed with a human-like mocking expression, perhaps anticipating Kyomu's move.

Whether the Gedo Statue truly aimed to absorb the chakra of the battlefield's combatants or intended to lure Kyomu away, Kyomu now had no choice but to face the purple chakra dragon head-on.

Click.

Kyomu's wrist flipped, and with a crisp sound, he raised Yoei, positioning it before his chest, and slashed vertically at the dragon's head.

Swish! Suddenly, a dark red blade aura connecting heaven and earth appeared. The blade tip stirred the clouds, descending with immense pressure. The surrounding air currents roared, and the powerful force crashed onto the dragon's head.

Boom, swish.

With an explosion, the purple chakra dragon was split in two. The close-range shockwave pushed Kyomu's body back, leaving long footprints in the ground.

The Gedo Statue blinked its single eye, opening its mouth in a sneer. The purple light mixed with the explosion's shockwave reformed into the shape of the chakra dragon, which then returned to its mouth.

It smacked its lips again and again.

Abruptly, the Gedo Statue stopped moving. Its single eye stared dully at Kyomu, who hovered in mid-air, ready to launch his next attack.

The chakra extracted from Kyomu's body felt strangely familiar, yet the Gedo Statue had no memories of him.

Tilting its head, the Gedo Statue pondered over the chakra's familiarity, its expression a grotesque blend of contemplation and absurdity.

In contrast, Kyomu felt infuriated. Though he had withstood the purple chakra dragon's initial attack, the residual purple light continued to affect him, absorbing more than half of his chakra.

This experience reminded Kyomu of a particularly unpleasant memory.

The Reaper of the ninja world had once taken some of his chakra as well.

With eyes as cold as a winter's night, Kyomu unleashed his full power, crossing the hundred-meter distance in a flash, appearing beside the Gedo Statue.

He delivered a powerful kick.

Boom! His foot, enveloped in dark red natural energy, struck the Gedo Statue's head, creating white ripples that sent the statue spinning sideways.

Like an electric fan blade, the Gedo Statue spun three times in the air before crashing to the ground, creating several deep craters before coming to a stop.

Despite its massive size, the Gedo Statue was like a giant toy under Kyomu's speed, strength, explosive power, and Sage Mode. It was tossed around easily.

Kyomu pursued his advantage, delivering another powerful kick.

Boom.

A puff of white smoke was instantly kicked away by Kyomu, causing the Gedo Statue to vanish. The ground beneath it bore the brunt of the impact.

A circular, spiderweb-like crater appeared at his feet, smoke rising only to be dispersed by the ring-shaped shockwave.

"Is it out of time, or is Nagato dead, or..."

Kyomu quickly assessed, turning to look at the lifeless Nagato.

He was barely alive.

His dull gray hair draped over his shoulders, his under-thirty body appearing like an eighty-year-old on the brink of death, skin and bones.

Tap, tap, tap.

The divine robe on Kyomu's body fluttered as he walked over, looking down at the barely-breathing Nagato.

"Do you have another plan?"

"True peace...will eventually...come!"

Shaking his head, Kyomu abandoned further questioning. Nagato had been deeply influenced, switching sides between various factions.

First, he was a pawn of Madara, then Kyomu disrupted his plans, temporarily aligning with Kyomu. But within a few years, Nagato was persuaded by Jiraiya and Hagoromo, thoroughly opposing Kyomu.

A pitiful man.

Swish, with a single stroke, Kyomu ended Nagato's life swiftly.

With a single gesture, he retrieved Nagato's desiccated head.

Swish, swish, swish.

Paper kunai flew at him. Kyomu's gaze met Konan's resolute eyes.

You're really not afraid of death.

Kyomu shook his head, feeling no guilt for dealing harshly with her. He and Konan were fundamentally different; there was no room for empathy.

Anyone who dared to obstruct Kyomu's grand plan had to die!

In a single step, he crossed the ground.

Dodging the incoming paper kunai, his body flashed, appearing before Konan. Holding Nagato's head in his right hand, he gripped Konan's delicate neck with his left.

Slamming Konan into the ground.

Boom! The ground shattered into a human-shaped crater, but Konan turned into pieces of paper, floating away before reforming into her shape ten meters away.

But Konan's face was pale, severely depleted.

"I forgot, your Paper Release can resist all physical damage until your chakra is exhausted."

Kyomu muttered, taking another step to catch up. He pushed his spatial speed to the limit, his attack speed surpassing Konan's reaction time.

His left hand, wrapped in dark red natural energy, grasped Konan's neck again. The energy infiltrated her body, spreading through her limbs.

Lifting Konan, Kyomu stared into her eyes, while Konan defiantly met his gaze, unafraid of death.

"Nagato wanted you to survive and protect Naruto, right?"

Konan didn't answer, her gaze unwavering. Her body trembled as her life force ebbed, turning to stone from the neck down due to the dark red natural energy.

"You don't want to live alone," Kyomu tightened his grip. "Yahiko, Nagato, and you will share a grave."

Konan didn't thank him. As the petrification process reached her chin, her stubborn and resolute expression froze.

In her Akatsuki uniform, Konan's lifelike stone statue was placed beside Nagato by Kyomu.

"Though you blocked my way and stepped forward yourself, I can't let you live. But death clears all debts, and this is what I can give."

Kyomu wiped Yoei before sheathing it.

He passed his right hand over Nagato's eye sockets, extracting the Rinnegan and placing them in a saline solution within a sealed scroll.

Tossing Nagato's head onto his body, Kyomu buried him and Konan in a mound of earth.

Yahiko's body was likely taken by Nagato. Kyomu didn't bother searching for it. He wasn't that free.

Burying Nagato and Konan was more than enough; no need for perfection.

Surveying the chaotic battlefield, once a lush plain, now a combination of basin, plateau, desert, and other terrains, Kyomu concluded that this land was no longer suitable for habitation. Perhaps in a century, the artificially altered terrain would recover.

Taking to the sky, Kyomu set aside his thoughts and walked towards another battlefield.

Here, Obito, Kakashi, Might Guy, and other new generation powerhouses faced off. It was also the stage for veterans like Sakumo, Tsunade, and Fugaku to make their final stand, as well as a trial ground for the new generation like Itachi, Shisui, Kisame, and Kimimaro.

Should he intervene?

Kyomu decided against it.

This final battle was crucial for the new era Ryunin to build their reputation and for the rising stars to gain experience. If Kyomu intervened, there would be no grand stage for them in the future.

Hovering in mid-air, Kyomu observed the battlefield below.

Ryunin advanced with unstoppable momentum, and the six Jinchuriki of the four-nation alliance were heavily injured, all in full Tailed Beast forms, fighting one

Jinchuriki, and each being fought one-on-one.

Seeing all this, Kyomu felt a surge of pride. From ancient times to the present, no one could compare to the power of his forces.

The current ninja world was filled with super Kage-level ninjas, with Ryunin Village alone claiming the lion's share of them.

"There is no longer any suspense." Kyomu withdrew from Sage Mode, calming his thoughts as the killing intent and ferocity faded.

"Once the dust settles, I need to visit Ryuchi Cave."

Reflecting on his previous Sage Mode, Kyomu shook his head, "Though it's perfect Sage Mode, its focus is entirely on attack. Compared to the more balanced perfect Sage Mode, it lacks enhancements in perception and recovery, which is a disadvantage in prolonged battles."

After a brief summary, Kyomu stopped paying attention to the battlefield below. With his hands behind his back, he stepped on the clouds, slowly drifting away.

He intended to visit the capitals of the four great nations to ensure the daimyos didn't escape. Otherwise, the coronation ceremony after the decisive battle would lose its grandeur.

As Kyomu departed, the battle between Ryunin and the four-nation alliance entered its final phase.

Apart from the six Jinchuriki, the four-nation alliance lacked powerful ninjas. Once the Jinchuriki were on the verge of defeat, Kakashi and the others would unleash a massacre on the alliance.

Cutting down enemies was not something only Kyomu excelled at; Kakashi and the others were just as proficient.

Drip.

The Four-Tails Jinchuriki, Roshi, could no longer maintain his full Tailed Beast form, while his opponent, Obito, remained relaxed and composed.

Wood Release: Cutting Technique!

Obito clapped his hands, summoning the jutsu.

Unsealing ninjutsu or using single-hand seals was simple for Obito. With the Mangekyou Sharingan, a modified body, a vast amount of chakra, and immense mental strength, Obito was an unstoppable force in the ninja world, second only to Kyomu.

"Ah...!"

Roshi's agonized scream echoed as wooden spikes grew from the ground, piercing through his body, turning him into a sieve.

The continuously growing branches tore through Roshi's body, almost completely destroying his structure.

Yet, as a Jinchuriki, Roshi didn't die, only falling into a severe coma.

That was precisely Obito's intention. He clapped his hands again, and the Wood Release branches wrapped around Roshi, cocooning him.

Obito then turned to Kakashi's battle.

His Mangekyou Sharingan spun, pupils narrowing as he sighed.

"Deriving a magnetic field from Lightning Release Chakra, you've finally perfected it?"

In his view, Kakashi was surrounded by a sea of blue and white lightning. His opponent, the Five-Tails Jinchuriki, Han, was pinned to the ground by the magnetic field, unable to rise.

Obito could feel his own magnetic field being affected, including his bio-magnetic field.

"If he gets any stronger...could Kakashi use the magnetic field to tear space?"

Obito couldn't help but question himself, a faint sense of crisis looming.

After suppressing Kakashi for six years, Obito hoped he wouldn't be overtaken or surpassed.
