CHAPTER NINETEEN
When I woke up, Shadow was sleeping next to me. Night. As I got to my paws, I slipped almost instantly and crashed to the ground again, busting my jaw and screwing my paws. Ah. There was only one spot that could be his slippery.
I opened my eyes to see a dark black spring, such a dark black that it was like a mirror, reflecting the moon and stars, and my surprised face. The spring had been found.
"B-but how?" I said to Shadow, who didn't reply. Still sleeping. Welp. Time to drink, then. I assumed Shadow already had since he looked a bit different than before.
Bending my neck, I gently lapped at the pond. The black water tasted horrible, but instantly my head started spinning. and suddenly, everything was fine again. "Wow, magical spring, I swear! I'm going to throw rocks into you if you're protesting right now-" I said, but then I saw my reflection. a delicate blue gem set into the center of my forehead. and also 4 matching ones on my ankles, glowing faintly in the darkness. I stared at my reflection for a minute, before whispering,
"What's this?"
Almost instantly, My paws touched the smooth marble tile. The hall of the gods.
"Welcome, Beeflight." Said Frsk Sfsn. I nodded my head along. "Thanks." The gods were seated casually in front of me, whispering. They were probably more than a bit suprised I was still alive and now the leader of my own clan. I bet, I would be too. "We don't have a lot to tell you. You'll have to figure your powers out on your own - is there anything you want to say?"
I gulped. "I'll get my happy ending, right?" Frsk sfsn stopped for a minute, seeming surprised. Then he nodded. "I will make sure you do, child."
"Then that's all I need to know," I said.
