'He is scared to take responsibility,' Ariana stared at Doctor Austin whose face was paler than hers with sweat dripping down from his forehead. He was scared and worried to take such a high-profile patient, she was too but——

Ariana glanced at the man on the stretcher as she muttered, "He will not survive until then." 

If they did not bring his vitals back, there was no way this patient would be able to wait until Doctor Avery returned. 

"I will do the chest compressions," Ariana turned to look at Nurse Mable and said to her, "Nurse Mable, can you secure the airway? And bring another nurse to administer endotracheal intubation. We also need someone to set up the IV and have the patient wheeled inside and connect him to the monitoring device." 

"What are you doing?" Doctor Austin asked Ariana who had given several orders like she knew what she was doing. "He is Emil Ashford, do you even know the consequences in case he loses his life?"
