The meat of the water buffalo was damaged and contaminated during the battle. 

Fortunately, because of the cold climate, they were able to salvage a significant amount of it.

After working for a couple of hours, Aru and Emir butchered the meat the best they could and were left with a bundle of meat that was about four to five thousand kilograms in weight.

If they had taken all the meat, including the contaminated portion, it would have totalled to over double that. That's how big the mutant water buffalo was.

After butchering, with Emir's help, Aru spread the preservative herbal powder over the meat along with salt and packed them tightly.

They couldn't consume five thousand alone. So, he had to preserve and use it another time. 

The rest of the meat was given to Fluffy to eat.
