Lucien gulped down the warm milk, finding it slightly sweet, likely because his mother had added sugar to it. Normally, soybean milk tastes plain without any additives.
The milk wasn't creamy like cow's milk; it was more watery with a subtle hint of soybean flavor.
Lucien didn't usually enjoy it, but fresh soybean milk tasted much better than the packaged kind from the market.
"Thanks, Mother," Lucien said, appreciating the gesture.
"This is good! Not as good as milk, though, but still good," Lithira exclaimed, her enthusiasm evident as she tasted the new drink.
Brigantia also gulped down the milk and gave a thumbs-up.
"Nah, don't sweat it. Let's help me cook instead. It's time to have lunch," Amane suggested, gesturing for him to follow her.
They walked to the kitchen, where Amane instructed Lithira and Brigantia to sit at the dining table while she and Lucien began preparing the meal. A large block of tofu sat on the counter.
This is the first time I have written a novel/chapter about cooking. It's fun but confusing since I have little knowledge about the term used in cooking
