THE INVINCIBLE UNDEAD
"Those who were in contact with the stream are preserved while those in the higher grounds without access to water become skeletons", Sara told us her observation.
"The stream water?" Rinna told us and asked.
"What is in the water?" Chash asked as he touched the water in the stream casually.
"What is the meaning of this?" Chash shouted out suddenly to us as his hand glowed with magic.
After the glow disappeared, we checked his hand but there was not much difference to it than before.
"Let me try", Rinna said as she touched the lake water but to our surprise, there was no reaction to her hands when she touched it.
Then we took turns trying the water in the lake.
I felt nothing at all when I touched the water, but Cassandra and Meera had the same glowing effect when they touched the water.
"Let me test the water", Ratatouille told us as he dived into the water as a conjured fish.
To our surprise, when he emerged, Ratatouille wasn't an ethereal fish but a real fish with flesh and blood.
"What is happening to me?" Ratatouille asked as he turned back to himself.
Even Sara's body glowed when she went into the water in the lake.
"Only Orion and I are not affected by the magic in the stream water. Why is that?" Rinna asked us.
"There must be something different about the two of us than the others", I replied to them.
"Is it because they are the Trinity, so they are not affected by the magic water?" Meera asked.
"The water seems to be benefiting us somehow, there is no reason this water would not benefit the Trinity", Ratatouille told us.
"There is another difference between us. We have obtained the Immortal essence of the Anti-Saints, but Rinna and the idiot don't", Sara told us her opinion.
"What I want to know is whether the water will make me more beautiful", Meera told us to our surprise and went into the water and soaked inside.
"Be careful with the water, we don't know what it is in it yet", I warned Meera but even Cassandra and Chash dived into the lake too.
"I might as well join them", Ratatouille told us as he dived in too.
"So much for caution", I said to myself.
"Even if we are not affected by the magic water, we should join them, for fun", Rinna told me.
So, we all dived into the stream together. Even Sara jumped in with us for the fun of it. All our bodies besides Rinna and I, experienced strange magical rejuvenation upon soaking in the magical water of the stream.
While we were enjoying the swim, to our shock and surprise, the bodies in the stream started to move. The dead corpses in the stream suddenly became alive.
"The corpses came alive", Ratatouille told us and warned before he added, "They are coming after us".
The corpses near the stream who came alive rushed toward us to attack us. Despite being dead for possibly thousands of years these undead corpses were swift and strong.
"Damnit, what is the problem with this place and undead. Why are they everywhere?" Chash asked us while irritated.
"This is the burial ground of the Trogdol ancestors, it's expected there will be some remnant undeads lurking around", I replied to him.
"But these are not just some remnants. The undead are everywhere and there are so many of them. We would be soon swarmed by them", Cassandra asked me worriedly.
We were surrounded by hundreds if not thousands of resurrected undead who came to attack us immediately. We must have disturbed their eternal rest, and they came for vengeance.
"Why are these undead attacking us?" Chash asked.
"These bloody creeps want to Rest in Peace", Sara replied to him before she cast her tornado in a circle around us.
Sara's tornado became a shield of wind that protected our group.
Chash quickly brought out his divine sword and slammed it on the ground. The ground broke as a powerful wave struck forth causing a path that was divided by flame and ice.
"Dominon of Ice and Fire"
While Chash's strike separated the undead into two distinct groups, he did not incapacitate them or hurt them much at all.
His flames burned the undead, but the undead bodies regenerated from the burn almost immediately. On the other side, Chash's frost failed to immobilize the undead, they only slowed their movements a little.
"This is useless, the undead, like the Skeleton King are invincible. They couldn't be killed", Cassandra told us.
We cast our magic toward the undead to stop their advance towards us, but our magic harmed them little. None of us has magic that could stop the undead.
"Each of the many undead are as strong as the Skeleton King when their healing is taken into account", Rinna told us.
"The undead are crossing my bloody tornado", Sara complained to us suddenly.
We were protected thus far by Sara's conjured shield of wind but even that wouldn't help us for long. The undead pushed themselves into our wind circle.
Despite being wounded by the tornado, these undead soon regenerated from their wound and pushed forth again. It is only a matter of time before these undead would get into our protective circle.
"What should we do now?" Meera asked us.
"I wonder if the undead would be petrified by my serpents?" Rinna asked herself.
"No, save your serpents for later. These undead wouldn't attack us unless there is another greater intelligence directing them. We may have to face a Boss or a bigger threat later and we shouldn't waste your serpents now", I told her, and she refrained from summoning her serpent.
"Then what should we do now? None of our magic can hurt the bloody undead", Ratatouille asked me.
"We call for help", I replied to him.
"Help? Where will help come from?" Ratatouille questioned me.
Suddenly, armored limbs appeared from the stream to surround us in a protective circle. My Malevolent Knights and Slaves were summoned to protect us.
"Your Malevolent couldn't defeat the invincible undead. They will only protect us for a short time", Chash told me his prediction.
