The cell phone rang. Seizing it, Li Mingxun saw it was Luo Qianxun's call and angrily hung up.
Luo Qianxun already knew that Li Mingxun would not answer her call, so she sent him a message: Grandfather just called, he wants us both to come home for dinner tonight.
Li Mingxun stared at the text, clenching his back teeth, and called Luo Qianxun back.
Once the call connected, he said angrily, "Don't think bringing up Grandfather will stop me from divorcing you."
"Don't worry, I didn't say anything."
Luo Qianxun gave a bitter smile, then added, "Tonight, you can propose the divorce directly to Grandfather. As soon as he agrees, I'll sign the papers."
"You know that's never going to happen."
Li Mingxun grew even more furious, his voice taking on a sharp edge.
Li Yuan has a heart condition, how could he stress him out like this?
"Mingxun, I really don't want a divorce."
Luo Qianxun sighed, her voice pleading, "I can turn a blind eye like I did before, you and Jiang Xinjie can have your own little family, I won't interfere."
She could tolerate Li Mingxun having a mistress, as long as she remained Mrs. Li.
If her child was born, it would have a legitimate status.
"Impossible."
Li Mingxun flatly refused, "I must marry Xinjie, and give her and the child in her belly a legitimate status."
"Then there's no more room for discussion."
Luo Qianxun felt a lump in her throat, and tears started to fall.
She was also pregnant, but her husband's heart was completely with another woman and her child.
"Be at the old house by seven tonight, don't be late."
After finishing her sentence, Luo Qianxun hung up the phone. Any more talk and she would not be able to hold back her tears.
She knew Li Mingxun was determined to divorce her, but she refused to just sign the papers easily.
"Luo Qianxun, I'm warning you..."
Li Mingxun wanted to say more, but all he heard were the dial tones.
He smashed his phone onto the table, "Damn woman, how dare she hang up on me."
Luo Qianxun gripped her phone tightly, burying her face into the sofa cushion as heartbreaking sobs escaped her.
She had already conceded so much, but Li Mingxun was still pushing her to divorce.
It seems men could really be heartless when they stop loving a woman.

Li Family's old house
Luo Qianxun just got out of the taxi when she saw Li Mingxun's car pull up.
She put on a smile and waited for him.
"I'm warning you, don't say anything stupid in front of Grandfather."
Li Mingxun's warning was stern.
Luo Qianxun merely smiled bitterly and replied, "Don't worry, I won't upset Grandfather."
"You'd better not."
Li Mingxun gave Luo Qianxun a cold look, then headed towards the main entrance.
Luo Qianxun hid her bitter expression and pretended to be cheerful as she followed him into the hall.
"Grandfather!"
Luo Qianxun called Li Yuan with a charming smile.
"Come sit!"
Li Yuan beckoned Luo Qianxun to sit next to him, very warmly.
Though he was old, with a head of white hair, and he needed a cane to walk, his spirit seemed vigorous, his eyes vibrant and his speech strong.
"Qianxun, you're getting thin."
Li Yuan looked at Luo Qianxun kindly, "I told the kitchen to prepare your favorite dishes, make sure to eat plenty tonight."
"Thank you, Grandfather."
Luo Qianxun nodded obediently, it was only in front of Li Yuan that she could feel loved and cherished.
Li Yuan then turned a reproving look at Li Mingxun, "Xunxun, what kind of husband are you? Look at Qianxun, she's getting thinner and thinner. A gust of wind might blow her away."
