Chương 1054: Chapter 714 U: Infinite Major Event (33)_1

Peter suddenly jumped back, only to find out that his spider-sense hadn't triggered. He glanced all around him but didn't see Shiller. Who was Stark referring to then?

"Peter, good timing! Quickly, catch him!"

"What? Who? Where?" Peter, just landing, looked nonplussedly around his surroundings.

This was the lab in the Stark Building. However, the current state of the lab would drive any researcher nuts. All the bookshelves and file cabinets had been toppled over, the lab benches had been disassembled, and there were some bite marks on the chair legs from some unknown creature.

Peter looked up just in time to see Stark extend his hand and fire a blast right into his own floor. Peter gasped out, "Mr. Stark! What are you doing? This is brand new flooring, Miss Pepper's going to get angry!"

"I'm catching somebody! Can't you see?!" Stark replied, sounding a bit exasperated, "Quickly, help me catch him!!"

"Catch who? I don't see anybody?" Peter stood frozen, still confused. He wondered if he was hallucinating since it was clear that only he and Stark were in the lab.

Suddenly, Peter's spider-sense gave a small jolt. An alert of this level meant no immediate danger. Peter took a step to the side, but then felt a pain at the back of his head.

"Ouch!" Peter cried out.

He rubbed the back of his head and looked towards where the unexpected attack came from, but there was nothing there.

"Ouch!" Peter cried out again. He felt a pain on his shoulder. He turned and just saw the lab bench surface move slightly and he stumbled backward, stuttering, "Wait…wait…is this a bug?!"

"Oww! Oww! Oww! It hurts!" Suddenly, Peter jumped as if he'd been electrified. His shoulder, calf, ankle, and back had all been hit by an unknown object.

Peter was hopping and scratching, raising his hand to guard his back. Then he felt an unknown object stuck on his battle suit. He reached back, pulling it off to find a plastic flying arrow the size of his finger joint.

Peter held the arrow between his thumb and forefinger, examining it carefully. Due to its small size, this made his eyes cross in concentration.

But just then, an almost inaudible noise sounded, and Peter started jumping and yelling again, doing a frantic dance on the spot.

Meanwhile, Stark was hovering in the air, arms crossed, squinting his eyes at Peter.

Peter was too exasperated to explain. The spider-sense's reaction was too weak. He couldn't even determine the direction of the incoming danger.

The plastic flying arrow hit him and it was, at most, painful. There was no mortal wound, it couldn't even make a scratch on his new Spider-Man suit.

But flies may be harmless, but that doesn't mean they're not annoying. After getting hit ten or so times, Peter had had enough. He stood on the spot, tipped back his head and yelled, "Stop!!!"

Unexpectedly, they really did stop. Peter placed his hands on his hips and looked around. Then he saw a file cabinet drawer moved a bit. He strode over to it.

Reaching out his hand, he lifted the drawer off the ground, and inside, on the back of a plastic Lego dinosaur, was a little man with a cylindrical head. He was holding a bow and arrow, no longer than a finger joint, squinting one eye and aiming at Peter.

Before Peter could do anything, another arrow hit him right in the forehead. He yelled out, "Ouch!" and clasping his forehead, spontaneously threw the drawer away.

There's no need to mention how strong Spider-Man is. The drawer he subconsciously threw away hit the wall, smashing the plastic man into pieces.

Peter stared wide-eyed and quickly ran over to collect the parts. He said apologetically, "Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to. I wouldn't intentionally damage someone else's work!"

Speaking, he tried hard to piece together the parts. Unfortunately, due to the scattered lab desk debris, many parts weren't to be found. The dinosaur was missing a leg, the tail bit was also gone, and they couldn't find one of the little Lego man's feet.

The last arm was in Peter's hand. He wanted to attach it to the Lego man, but the Lego man slapped his finger away. Peter yelped in pain, clutching his finger and glared at the Lego man.

"If you don't know how to assemble Lego, keep away from me!" The Lego man snatched his own arm back and attached it to his body in a jiffy. He then turned his upside-down head right side up, sizing up Peter and remarked,

"So you're this world's Spider-Man? Quite ugly, I must say. Our universe's Spider-Man has a beautiful cylindrical head. What I like about him is that he's very good at Lego, and he also knows how to fix loose parts due to wear and tear. I've always said he'd make an excellent doctor. Not a psychiatrist though. That's a job requiring meticulous attention, you, and all of you, aren't cut out for it…"
