Chương 1006: Chapter 681 Buzzing Buzzing Buzzing (Part 2)_1

Spider-sense, a rather remarkable ability, taken to its extremes, can even become a precognitive skill. Shiller had never considered before, where this power actually originates from.

It may seem like a setting created on a whim by a writer, but later on, the comic suggested that Spider-Man's origins are related to the Spider Totem. So, this power might likely be granted to its chosen ones by the Spider Totem itself.

Through the gray mist, Shiller confirmed that the previous weird voice was actually coming from someone trying to connect with him through the Spider-sense. Moreover, that mysterious voice told him, as long as he uses his Spider-sense to communicate with the Spider Totem, he can go to the mysterious place she mentioned.

Shiller isn't Spider-Man. He hasn't been chosen by the Spider Totem, nor has he been bitten by a spider. He merely replicated a lower-level Spider-sense ability through the system. This ability can be viewed as a weakened version of Peter Parker's Spider-sense. It doesn't possess the function of prophecy and only allows for danger prediction in an extremely short time frame.

Hence, Shiller also was unsure whether the weakened Spider-sense could also communicate with the Spider Totem. But no matter, he could always try.

Meditation isn't hard for Shiller. However, he didn't know what the Spider Totem actually looked like, and the voice didn't give him any specifics. Therefore, he decided to meditate according to his own understanding.

To Shiller, the strongest point of a spider as a creature isn't its power. Its greatest difference from other creatures lies in its orderly and aesthetically pleasing spider webs.

An organically formed creature organization purely based on instinct, yet possessing a regular beauty admired by humans, is very rare. Moreover, the image of a spider web often evokes connotations of being ensnared.

As Shiller once said to Peter, in this society, any connection formed among humans can become a key factor in leveraging power. This vast web woven by social engineering better fits Shiller's concept of a spider.

Such thoughts spread in his mind as the faint stirrings once again echoed, causing Shiller's breathing and heartbeat to unconsciously sync with the rhythms of his internal Spider-sense.

Soon, he saw a passageway. At the end of this passageway was a bright point of light. Shiller followed this passageway forward, and as he approached the shining light, he felt an invisible barrier in front of him.

But, as the faint Spider-sense continued to echo, Shiller successfully passed through this barrier. Then, following the passageway toward the light, he found himself in a large hall when he landed.

The place was extremely bright. Before the light faded, Shiller could vaguely make out a group of figures moving about.

As he landed, a very familiar voice rang out, "Oh my god, he's here! He's here! Hurry, let me see... The newcomer is... Hey, wait a minute, he's not Peter Parker!"

When the light subsided, just as Shiller had expected, he saw a group of Spider-Men.

The Spider-Man leading the group was the one Shiller was most familiar with. That classic character in countless comics, movies, animations, dressed in red and blue battlesuit, able to climb walls, web-slinging, and a bit of a chatterbox, just appeared before him.

Honestly, Shiller had grown somewhat unfamiliar with this classic image of Spider-Man. That's because the Peter Parker who often hovered around him rarely appeared as Spider-Man.

Most of the time, Parker could be seen wearing a hoodie, carrying a backpack, either just coming from Stark Building's lab or from school. The moment he stepped into Hell's Kitchen's clinic, he'd greet Pikachu and then rush to the arcade machine.

In Shiller's eyes, this version of Peter was just a kid. But the Spider-Man in front of him clearly was not. He was sturdier than the Peter Shiller knew, approximately 3-4 cm taller.

The suit's color scheme was classic, the talkative tendency was unmistakable, even the surprised expression and two mismatched eyes were exactly like they were in the comics.

At that moment, a woman wearing a black and white Spider Suit and a red mask walked up. She looked at Shiller somewhat confused, then murmured to herself, "I couldn't have gotten it wrong. Someone without Spider-sense couldn't possibly receive my signal through Spider-sense..."

This voice was very familiar, the same one that called Shiller earlier. Of course, to confirm, Shiller asked her, "Was it you who called me just now?"

The woman in the red mask was stunned for a moment. She gently brushed her black hair, then spoke, "So you did receive the Spider-sense communication. Welcome, new Spider-Man."

"Hey, buddy, I'm Peter Parker, codename Spider-Man. What's your codename?...Don't be so nervous, there are indeed quite a few Peter Parkers present here, but we also have individuals who aren't Peters. Look at this one, this is Gwen, and this is Miles. They're not Peters, but they're Spider-Men. You're no exception. What's your relationship with your universe's Peter? Do you have any special abilities?"
