The environment inside the car was a calm one. Joseph was busy on his laptop occupying the back seat as his assistant sat on the passenger seat next to the driver's seat.
Still busy on his laptop, he had not realised that they had reached the enormous building which stood high and could be spotted from any point in the city it being now the highest in the whole city.
The name (JK CORP) stood up on the building since it was now the headquarters of his corporation.
There were a number of media personnels who bombarded the car as it had just parked and seeing this, his assistant called out to him." Joe it looks like we have a problem."
Leaving what he was doing, Joseph realised what his assistant meant when he saw a number of people surrounding the car.
He quickly got his phone from his pants and dailed some number which he hang up after giving the person on the other end some orders.
After a few seconds, four guys probably security guys dressed in black suits came running from the building's main entrance and quickly sauntered to where the car was now parked.
They quickly shoved away the people surrounding the car making way for their boss to pass.
A deep sigh escaped Joseph's lips as he got out of the car which was now opened by one of the guys as the others were shielding him away from the media personnels who were now bombarding him with questions. His assistant followed from behind with a brief case and answering some of the questions he could possibly answer.
" Why did you transfer to the capital?.... Did you land another big contract?..... Are you planning to permanently stay in the capital?.... Do you ever hope to go back to stone city?.....How far with your new project?...." Those were some of the questions that the media personnels were asking as the guy was quickly taken away from the small crowd.
Lian stood looking at what was unfolding from a point not far from the crowd. Knowing well who the guy is, she wasn't surprised however her jaws dropped seeing that he had grown into a handsome guy whose looks were irresistible. She had last seen him in person ten years ago while she attended his parent's funeral.
The only other times she saw him was on TV, news papers and magazines as he had made a big name of himself. Seeing him now she couldn't believe her eyes as he looked more handsome than he's actually is seeing him on TV.
Her gaze was still fixed on the guy who was being quickly taken away into the building when their gazes met. Lian gazed away seeing that the guy's gaze was not leaving her since it was making her feel shy.
---------------
Joseph walked quickly towards the main entrance of the building. All he wanted was to escape from all this drama of the media. He gave a deep sigh seeing the the whole situation was lasting a whole eternity and couldn't wait to escape the agony.
Suddenly his eyes darted to the side where he saw a girl standing quietly looking at him. He wondered what she was doing there knowing very well who she was. His wonders did not stop there as he couldn't come to terms with what a beauty the girl had grown into.
All he remembers is a 14 year old girl whom he had last seen ten years back at his parent's funeral. Seeing her now, was some wonder which he couldn't explain from his line of vocabulary.
His gazes did not leave the girl despite the situation he was in not until he saw her gazing away. By this time he was already at the main entrance and had escaped from the small crowd.
Joseph quickly hurried to the lift leading straight to the top flow where his office stands.
He got his phone and made a call which was quickly picked from the other side. With a cold aura emanating around him, he made a reply to the other person who had timidly greeted. " Next time make sure to drive straight to the underground parking." Without any other word and not even waiting for a reply, he ended the call placing his phone back into his pocket.
His thoughts quickly darted back to the girl he had just seen a few moments ago not minding his assistant who was standing just Infront of him.
He finally broke loose from his thoughts the moment the lift came to a stop as he had reached the top flow. He came out following his assistant who had gotten off the lift a few seconds earlier.

Lian was walking slowly towards the main entrance of the building still thinking of the guy she saw earlier when her phone rang.
Getting it from her pass, she looked at the caller ID and gave a small smile before answering it.
" Yes sis..." She muttered still with a smile on. " Don't tell me you are back together." Lauren's voice came from the other end.
" Actually we are." Lian replied with a small giggle.
" That's up to you... And anyway promise me you won't come back to me crying..." Lauren replied sounding disappointed.
" Birds of the same feathers flock together." Lian replied with another taunt giggle.
Despite being beautiful, the two girls were never blessed with serious relationships. They themselves were serious and loved their boyfriends but all that the boys ever wanted was their money.
Lauren had always adviced her friend to come to terms and eventually forget the guy but however, she wasn't ready even after seeing that the guy wasn't interested in her but just her money.
It was no different with Lauren as Lian had also warned her about this particular guy who wasn't actually interested in her but just her money but she too was adamant in giving in just because she loved him so much.
The two girls continued in their conversation until Lian suddenly remembered the guy he had seen earlier.
" Lauren..." She called out to her friend. " You didn't tell me your brother would be here." She added.
Lauren was still deeply in laughter when she had her friend talk of her brother. She exclaimed and inquisitively asked her friend. " Ooh.... Did you guys meet."
Lian gave a deep sigh and replied weakly. " No we did not... I only spotted him from a far." Looking at her wrist watch, she suddenly gave another sigh before running inside the building.
She bid her friend goodbye before ending the call as now she was standing at the reception. She then sent her friend a text asking her to pick her up later but her expression turned gloomy after her friend had turned her down claiming that she had a date.
" It's up to you... Don't come back to me crying. " She muttered to herself before attending to the receptionist who had asked her what she needed.
Lain being a musician, she was a contract singer who sang at different corporate gathering. Coming to JK corp, she had been summoned by the general manager because there was to be the headquarters opening ceremony on which she had to perform.
