In the end, the party of 14 held on tightly to the single main rope that was left still strapped around the Skymaster Hawk when it decided to dive down fiercely.

A powerful push of wind blew back against the faces of the Mercenaries, forcefully pulling their hair and skin back.

Sol's eyes managed to move to look at the last hook. It was slowly unraveling around the hawk's body as they traveled down.

'I can't even throw another hook!' He mused, 'If I try, I might get thrown off. This pressure is too intense. And even if I'm able to hold on, the hook is going to get flung back toward me anyways since we are traveling downwards.'

He mused, knowing that he had no other option right now than to tightly grab the main rope and pray they made it safely.

The rope moved and slid even more, as Sol gritted his teeth.

He hated moments like these more than any, where he was powerless to change the outcome of his fate.
