Chương 29: Summon (2)

"A divergent, huh? Does that mean you'll summon creatures like the professor's? That's incredible," a green-haired student said with a big, kind, and excited smile.

"Huh? Why are you talking to me? You stink," Sillian said with a deadly glare that immediately silenced the boy.

"Oh, it's because I overslept. I didn't have time to take a shower, haha, sorry," the boy said, not thinking properly, and quickly walked over to the professor.

"Why didn't I find him smelly when he said that?" Mine asked curiously, looking at Sillian.

"No, he definitely stinks a lot..." Sillian said, picking up her pace to reach her desk quickly.

"Did I catch a cold or something?" Mine wondered.

"A finger armor?" the confused boy asked.

"Did you guys see that? Mine got herself a treasure, huh?" Sillian said, pointing at Mine's head where the baby phoenix was sleeping.

"I feel a bit strange now," Litty said, blinking several times as she looked at the phoenix.

"Its flames are really beautiful," Amelin said, standing up and continuing, "Can I touch it?"

"Yes, yes, go ahead," Mine replied.

"Hmm," Edward stood up as well, "I didn't expect to see something so young."

"Hahaha, what are you talking about? Being in this academy, we'll see much bigger things than this," Sillian said, sitting on the table.

"Alright...," Adrwnr cleared his throat, gaining attention. "I know you're excited for your friend, but behave. And you two, you're the last ones."

"What?... Oh, sorry, professor," Amelin said, stopping petting the phoenix and walking over to the professor.

"I wonder what's going to happen now, huh? If the two of us already got something so big," Sillian said, swinging her legs.

"Sillian, please sit in the chair," Mine said, gently pulling Sillian's sleeve.

"Alright, Edward, you'll take the beast tamer test first, and Amelin, the necromancer test. You may begin," Adrwnr said, pointing to the exact spots where the two should stand.

'What is he going to summon? A dragon, perhaps?' Amelin thought excitedly, imagining a giant blue-scaled dragon poking its head through the classroom ceiling.

"Focus your gaze on me and don't get distracted," the two invocations spoke simultaneously, continuing with a deep voice, "The gate is open. Will you be better with me? Or with my sister?"

"Litty, it's your turn now," Edward said, feeling a tap on his head.

"You can trust me. I'll bring the best possible for you," Litty said, then closed her eyes and lay down.

Emerging from a straight cut in the air, Litty fixed her hair behind her ear and said, "So, who among you will be summoned by my master?"

A moment of complete silence filled the place until a gigantic dragon with black scales, a slender body like a snake, seemingly with the universe drawn on its skin, and dark blue eyes spoke, pointing one of its claws at Litty, "Who does this little one think she is?"

"Puff, hahahahah," all the spirits present began to laugh, looking directly at Litty, unable to hold back their amusement.

"I think we have a little problem here... This spirit must have lost its way, right?" a five-meter-tall white-furred tiger mocked.

"Don't do that; she's here because of her master, which only shows another quality of his, besides being strong and kind," a seven-meter-tall eagle with black feathers and red stripes all over its body said sharply.

With an indifferent look, Litty said, "My master wants someone who won't attract too much attention, so no celestial dragons, no legendary beasts, no humanoid creatures, and especially no deities."

"I can't believe this; hahahaha, have you gone crazy, you little fairy? Your master opened the gate to a spirit realm where only creatures like you exist. How are you going to solve this?" a succubus with black hair and lilac eyes spoke, her red skin seeming to reflect the sunlight as she sat on the shoulder of a huge armor.

All the other spirits were laughing nonstop.

"We don't have time for your jokes; your master must not care about losing a mere fairy when gaining a contract with the strongest of dragons." The enormous dragon flew towards Litty, its plan to fly right past her, swallowing her and turning her into ashes with the temperature of its flames, managing to absorb her spiritual energy.

"You're all blind," Litty flicked the air, and just the gust of wind from it burst the head of the huge dragon, which flailed several times in the air before falling motionless to the ground.

The scene the spirits witnessed was so shocking that they all seemed to have lost their voice until one of them shouted, and all the others followed, "She didn't even touch him! How is that possible?"

"I guess that made them understand their positions here, right?" This time, Litty's indifferent gaze made all the spirits tremble.

"Yes!! I apologize, miss!" All the spirits shouted, bowing to her.

'Doing this kind of thing is really cool; I never expected to have this chance, hehehe,' Litty thought, hiding a silly smile internally.

"Ouch... What happened? When I realized it, I was already unconscious," spoke the celestial dragon after his head had regenerated. He rubbed his paw on his head, and when he looked to the side, he saw all the spirits bowing to Litty, and his memory came back—the last vision in his eyes being Litty flicking the air.

"Now that everything is clarified, I'll give you two choices so we can solve our problem," Litty said, showing two fingers and continuing to speak. "Either you suppress your power enough not to attract too much attention, or I'll do it myself after all, regenerating a head costs a lot of energy, right?"

"Ahhh! It's a demon!" The spirit who said this received a punch in the head from the succubus.

"I, who am a demon, don't stoop to that level; this being is pure evil," the succubus quickly said.

"Even though time passes 500 times slower here compared to real time, we can't keep the master waiting for so long, right?" Litty said, clenching her fists with an angelic smile on her face. "This is the best option, indeed."
