Chương 81: Chapter-81: Christmas Highlights
Ronan had originally planned that he would cast a Fidilious Charm around his Scotland property in the holidays. But his plan came crashing down when he saw how big the place he was. He could try to cast the charm, but he felt that he would need more power and experience for such a feat, which he didnt have at that point in time. So for the next two weeks, he only focused on the things that he could control.
One of the things that he did during the two weeks was clean dirt and grime out of every nook and corner of the house. As he was extensively able to use his magic, things became a little bit easier for him, but still, it was a very big house. Juliana helped a little but her magic was not as strong as his, which meant her helping was the same as having a little kid help one clean a house this big.
But the good thing was, by the time the holiday period was over, he was able to cover most of the mansion and was at least able to make the place cleaner than before. While doing so, he was able to find out many more things about the mansion.
The number one being, this place had a huge library, as big as a two-storey duplex. It is filled with books about jinxes, curses, and dark arts. Things, that made his brain tingle with excitement. This is why it broke his heart, when he saw the empty spaces in the library, because he knew exactly what they were.
When he got his inheritance, the goblin from the bank informed him that the Johanson household was broke. The family vault hardly had any money, and his uncles and aunts had sold most of the valuables of their house. Which is why he was so shocked to see that he had this huge house here.
The good news was, he saw about twenty-thirty books which had the word âme in it. And as far as he could remember, âme refers to soul, in French. He couldnt read the books, as he guessed that they were written in French, but it was nothing that he could not learn when he would return…
As far as Juliana was concerned, she was a wild card. At first, he didnt know whether his gamble would give him any returns at first, but spending two weeks with her made him realize that his gamble might as well payout. Due to her losing her self-confidence, her magic was not strong. She is clumsy and still quite broken. But she only got better as the days passed by.
His plan was simple, he wanted to make her loyal to him. Which meant, right now was the time when he had to show to her that she could depend on him. He had to show her that people might see her as a werewolf, a third-class human, but there was someone who was with her, no matter what. Which is why he chose to be with her during the full moon as well.
And the first step for that to happen was to make sure that she truly was, who she was pretending to be. Saying cheesy lines like, I want to feel the same pain as you, convinced her to use Legilimency on her. And they both went on a journey, to relive the worst moments of her life. The pain from seeing those memories made things worse for her, and she was in a dark place for two days. But at least he was sure, that she truly was, who she said to be.
Luckily for him, two days after his legitimacy stunt was the night of the full moon…
"You should not be here," she pleaded once again, "It is very dangerous,"
He simply passed her a warm smile, "No. You are not alone in this. I am with you. From today onwards, you will not suffer alone." He was not stupid. As a precaution, he had his broomstick with him, which meant he could fly off if something went wrong.
"But…" he shushed her.
"Dont worry stupid. Nothing will happen to me. After all, I am the strongest," he said.
Like usual, before she could see the moon, she bound herself to the statue like always. He remained at a 20 feet distance from her, just because she insisted. And he didnt forget to thank the god that Juliana insisted.
When the moon rose high in the sky, he saw it, the transformation.
Her whole body started changing. The woman's clothes that she had borrowed from the mansion finally broke. Fur started appearing all over her body. Her face started transforming, her mouth started elongating like that of a dog. Her teeth started becoming sharper, and a huge quantity of saliva started dripping from her mouth. Her transformation was complete.
With a hunched back, she remained stationary for a few seconds, but then she let a howl so loud that it made all the birds nearby tree fly away in a hurry.
Now.. That is disappointing. I thought that her transformation would be like werewolves from those old vampire movies.
He truly was disappointed. Her transformation looked so powerless and skinny as if it was starring in the movie Cast Away. Her transformation could also pass for a Weasel cosplay from Suicide Squad…
According to the books that he had read, Werewolves become especially violent when around humans. Especially around humans who hold a special place in their hearts. Which is why, when Juliana smelled his scent, she became erratic and hyper-aggressive. But the chains, that he previously reinforced held her back. That whole night the chains were able to hold her back.
At one point, he tried to suppress her with his telekinesis. He was able to hold her down for about half an hour or so, but then his nose started bleeding profusely.
When the morning sun peeked from the horizon, slowly her transformation started to revert. And as the first sun rise fell on her, she reverted back to her human form. Immediately he went to her, and sat by her side, with her head on his lap. When she opened her eyes, she saw him smiling down on her.
"Hello there," he said.
"You were here…" she said weakly, "All night."
"Of course I was," he said, "I will always be.." He then gestured towards her naked body, "Now let's get you into some pants," He then picked her up in the princess carry, and took her inside the house…
And since that day, he could feel that she started seeing him in a new light. Which meant that his plan had started working. She tried helping around the house, and her magic started improving, making him happier with every passing moment. They started coming close, he told her that he was in Hogwarts, which surprised her a lot. And as it turns out, she was just 20 years old. Not in her late 30s, like he expected her to be.
But as every good thing must eventually come to an end, his time with Juliana also came to an end. On the last day that they had to spend together, he sat her down. He had something very important to do.
"Juliana," he said. "I need a favor,"
"What is it?" she said immediately, "I will do anything. I will climb the tallest mountains for you…"
He smiled, "No need to go that far. I just need you not to get angry.. There is something that I must do. And I just need you to have an open mind about it,"
"What is it?"
"It really breaks my heart, to ask you this.. But I need your permission to jinx you"
"What?" she was taken aback,
"This house. I cannot let anyone from the magical community find its location. As you have seen this place, I need to jinx you, in order to preserve my secret.. No. Our secret."
She passed him the warmest smile, "I will be happy to comply in any way you command, Ronan,"
He also smiled. And then silently jinxed her. He told her that he jinxed her in a way, that she won't be able to tell in any way or form about their relationship and the location of this house. What he didnt not tell her was that, if she tried to tell someone about this place, her head would burst open like a watermelon under a car. Also, if she tries t steal any of his property, then his head would burst. He figured that he should be this extreme, to see whether she truly was worth his time. Or whether she would break her first promise, by her master.
That day, they spend time together, talking to each other, and telling each other about their childhood and their future goals. When the time finally came, when he truly had to leave, he told her that she was supposed to stay in the house and look after it. And he would soon return to meet her. He gave her some coins to take care of her and the house. Bade her farewell, and went to the station, in order to board the train to London…
When Ronan returned home that day, he came into the house, to see whether someone had broken into his house. His magical security looked fine. Simple tricks like the thin lead lid on the door's hinges also looked fine, which meant no one had entered the house while he was gone.
He was half expecting that Dumbledore would have broken into the house after he had received the report from Tonks. But it seems, he was wrong.
After resting for the night in his house, the next day he boarded the Hogwarts Express, and went back to the school…
