Chương 3: Villain and Protagonist - face off

"Ali _ what _ what happened?" Meredith asked, seeing his face covered in blood and tears.

If she wasn't so obsessed with him to identify even his shadow, anyone who knew Ali would doubt that the always happy and playful guy could look so down and lost.

"Shi_shiva , he_ he's _." Ali said in a choking tone as he pointed at the hospital staff, covering his body and planning to take him away.

Meredith felt her heart constricted seeing him, so she just moved forward and hugged him, holding him tightly in her arms.

Her eyes landed on the bloody scene behind her and she looked away immediately.

"He was there (sobs) just in front of me, and I could've called him back, saved him but I _"

"Shhh, it's fine. It's not your fault. It'll be fine." Meredith gently whispered seeing him blaming himself for not saving him.

She only thought it was a road accident after looking at the scene, so she didn't know.

Meredith started speaking in a calm tone, trying to sound as gentle as she could, but her words didn't seem to have any impact. "You did everything you could. It was just an accident."

"Noo." Ali, who heard her words shouted, as he pushed her back and glared at her. "It wasn't an accident. That guy, he _ he killed him. And I'm gonna kill him too."

Ali had just finished his words as he noticed his guards pulling the man who pushed Shiva earlier, into one of their black SUV's.

"Someone must've informed the police, young master. They'll be here soon." A burly man with short curly hair, came forward and informed Ali. His name was Lucky. And he was the security head around him, who was responsible for everything he needed or asked.

"You can deal with him somewhere else too. Not here." Daniel said.

There was a crowd gathered there, some taking videos and others talking and shouting whatnot. Some even moved forward to look for the missing truck driver.

But Ali ignored everything, as he kept looking at the man who killed his best friend, just staring at him gave birth to a feeling of hatred in his heart, something that he probably never felt before.

Maybe it was for Shiva's death or maybe the protagonist's aura around that lucky guy had already started affecting our stepping stone mc.

"He can die with him too." Ali said and pushed Daniel and Meredith back, who was standing there grabbing her hand.

With each step the hatred and anger kept rising in his head and the determination to kill the murderer only became fiercer.

On the other side..

The young man in discussion was dressed in blue jeans which were washed white, and a T-shirt which looked one size short on his body. Kevin Harper, that was his name.

An average joe with no talent , trying to survive in a city bustling with geniuses and unemployed graduates. For him who had no money, connections or any sort of talent academic or not - this place was simply hell.

If not for the fact that his father had left them some money before his death, he and his sister would probably won't even be able to survive in this cruel, expensive city.

But all that had changed today.

He had just gotten a job as a security guard this morning after he met a cold beauty CEO , who got impressed with his character and offered it to him.

When his sister heard this news, she couldn't even believe her ears. In her eyes, he was probably just another chunni boy with big dreams but no sense of reality.

And after that he went to give this news to his girlfriend personally, who had been with him in his college and high school life. Despite his not so handsome face and poor background, she had been with him for almost 3 years now. So now that he finally got a job, he wanted to inform her too, and ohh give her a ring and propose too.

She did say that they'll finalize their relationship once he had gotten a job.

Thinking about the pure and pretty goddess, whom he hasn't even touched a finger, Kevin couldn't help but dream about it.

But all his dreams got shattered when he reached their college gate. Where his pure goddess was laughing and walking hand in hand with a fancy rich dandy looking guy.

If that wasn't enough, and when he went forward and beat that guy aside, thinking she was getting bullied by that rich second generation. She went forward and helped him, while ignoring him completely.

To add insult to injury in front of a whole crowd of students and classmates, she broke up with him calling him a useless and poor orphan. And he could just watch as she sat in an open car and drove away with that lusty young master.

In his heartbreak and pain when he was just roaming around lost in thoughts, he heard some sounds of fighting and crying of a girl, he moved forward to check.

But all he saw was just a young school girl running away, and another man just smoking cigarettes and standing there.

Shaking his head that the girl was safe, he planned to ignore this bad man, but who knew this psycho turned to him and started fighting with him. Asking him useless questions and beating him constantly.

But after some time that man let him go.

All the pain and rollercoaster ride of emotions he had lived through this day, fueled his emotions and seizing a chance when an oncoming truck was coming their way, he pushed that psycho into a crash.

After all, his young heart couldn't stand being beaten and letting go of this guy scot free. But only after the accident, when he watched the man dying did he start to panic. And the thought of going to jail scared him to death.

But after thinking that this guy was probably some criminal or gangster terrorizing little girls and beating up innocent civilians - Kevin didn't worry. He even thought the police would thank him and give him some reward for solving this guy.

"Psychos like you shouldn't live in this city. I just did this world a favor."

Kevin said looking at that dying man, but after hearing someone screaming and seeing 8-10 burly men dressed in black running towards him, he got scared and decided to run away from there.

He'll get his reward after some time from the police.

But he had just ran a little far when 3 muscular men caught up to him and dragged him here. He did start fighting with them, but where could he be the opponent of those bodyguards who were all trained since childhood or retired special agents or military officers.

He was punched and beaten and dragged here forcefully.

And seeing a man dressed in branded clothes coming towards him with a gun in his hands. Kevin had a fearful look on his face.

Ali and Kevin, both stared at each other, each feeling emotions of hatred in their hearts as their auras and destined roles placed them against each other.
