Ron, Harry, and Hermione followed the crowd down the muddy path.
There was a clearing at the end of the dirt path where many carriages were parked.
In the eyes of Harry, Ron, and Hermione, these carriages have no horses; as long as they get on the carriages, they will move automatically.
Harry and Ron argued about how the carriage worked.
Harry thought an invisible horse must be pulling in front of the carriage.
Ron believed that the carriage was powered by magic, and the two had been arguing about it.
Except for the first-year students who enter Hogwarts by boat through the Black Lake, the other grades rely on horse-drawn carriages.
Ron wrapped his robes tightly, feeling as though he had yet to recover from the terrifying chill the Dementors had created.
"Wait for me!" Ron said to Harry and Hermione.
He fumbled around in his pocket, and Ron remembered a pepper urchin in his pocket.
This candy can significantly relieve the feeling of cold.
Hermione was standing there waiting for Ron. She looked around and suddenly saw Professor Ethan and Luna entering a carriage, chatting and laughing.
And the carriage looked as if it was about to start.
"We've got to get going!" Hermione yelled.
She grabbed Harry and Ron's sleeves and ran towards Ethan and Luna's carriage.
"Hey! What are you doing?" Ron yelled, nearly being pulled over by Hermione.
Finally, under the leadership of Hermione, the three caught up with Ethan's carriage.
The three sat in the carriage, panting, and Ron wanted to complain, but Hermione stopped him with his eyes.
"Hello!" Luna, who was sitting in the carriage, greeted the three enthusiastically.
It was only at this point that Hermione realized that her behavior was a bit reckless, and she greeted Luna a bit shyly.
The carriage was driving fast on the muddy road with a faint, musty smell.
Harry looked up at the sky and could still see the Dementors floating in the sky, which made his heart a little heavy.
"Professor Ethan, why did the Dementors attack the train? And coming to Hogwarts?" Harry couldn't help asking.
"It's an order from the Ministry of Magic," Ethan explained to Harry.
"The Ministry of Magic has put Dementors in Hogwarts to capture Sirius Black."
"That's inappropriate!" Hermione complained.
"Those things are out of control! They even attacked a train full of students!"
"I assure you, Hermione, that someone will be responsible for what happens on the train," Ethan said.
"Professor Ethan, what silver spell did you use on the train?" Hermione asked curiously.
"That's the Patronus Charm," Ethan explained to everyone that it was all right in the carriage.
"The Patronus Charm is a potent defensive magic. It can summon a Patron Saint. The Patronus Charm is the best way to defeat Dementors."
"And, given the circumstances of the semester, I suggest you all learn the spell," Ethan said to everyone in the carriage.
"Professor Ethan, can you teach us?" Ron asked excitedly. Ron felt that this Patronus Charm was fabulous.
"I think it's your Defence Against the Dark Arts professor's job," Ethan said to Ron.
"I can't take his job."
Ron was a little disappointed when he heard this. He felt Professor Lupin was even less reliable than the two Defense Against the Dark Arts professors, Quirrell and Lockhart.
Ethan saw through Ron's thoughts, "I assure you that Professor Lupin is an excellent professor, and he will give you some practical things."
After hearing Ethan's words, Ron's mood was a little better.
"Professor Ethan, what are these carriages powered by?" Harry asked his most concerned question.
"Thestrals," Luna interjected suddenly, explaining to everyone in her singing voice.
"It's a winged horse pulling our cars constantly."
"Don't be kidding, there's nothing in front of the carriage! This car must be powered by magic!" Ron said disdainfully.
"Ron!" Hermione clapped Ron's hand, signaling him not to be so rude.
"Luna, is the Thestrals you're talking about invisible? As far as I know, only invisible beasts are invisible," Hermione said to Luna.
"No," Luna said, "Professor Ethan and I can see them."
After speaking, Luna subconsciously leaned towards Ethan's side.
Luna's words caused a fire in Hermione's heart out of thin air. She felt that this fact was too absurd. Why couldn't she see what Luna and Professor Ethan could see?
Why can Luna fly around on Professor Ethan's back?
Even though she is smart, she is Professor Ethan's assistant, so why is Luna's relationship with Professor Ethan inexplicably closer than her?
"Why?" Hermione said suddenly in the carriage, startling everyone.
Everyone looked at Hermione in confusion, not understanding what was going on.
Hermione also noticed her emotions were out of control, and her face turned red.
"I mean - why only you can see it?" Hermione whispered.
"Only those who have witnessed death can see Thestrals," Luna said softly.
"Have you ever witnessed death?" Hermione said cautiously to Luna.
"Yes, when I was nine years old, my mother died unexpectedly by experimenting with spells in front of me," Luna said lightly as if she didn't care about it.
"My God, Luna, I'm so sorry!" Hermione said apologetically.
"It's okay." Luna waved her hand lightly to Hermione.
Hermione felt like a complete fool now, and her inexplicable emotions suddenly put her in a highly embarrassing situation.
Now, she has made a fool of herself in front of Professor Ethan and opened up Luna's scar by being a bad guy. Now, even her friends, Harry and Ron, look at Hermione in surprise.
Hermione couldn't wait to jump out of the carriage to end this embarrassing trip.
Fortunately, the carriage also just arrived at the end. The carriage passed through an ornate iron gate, passed many pillars decorated with stone beasts, and officially entered Hogwarts.
After the carriage climbed a slope, everyone could see the pointy roof of the Hogwarts Tower.
Finally, the carriage stopped at the foot of Hogwarts Castle.
Hermione grabbed her luggage and jumped out of the carriage for the first time, and she didn't want to stay in the carriage for a second.
Confused, Harry and Ron had to run into the castle with Hermione.
Ethan scratched his head, exited the carriage with Luna, and walked into Hogwarts Castle.
The annual welcome dinner at Hogwarts is about to begin. All the professors should be present then.
Thinking of this, Ethan hurriedly and walked towards the Hogwarts auditorium.
