Using his connection with Heiyuan, the former Celestial Beast summoned the black serpent familiar to meet with him in the main hall of the Guest Disciples' quarters where the morning meal was currently being served.

Heiyuan received curious and suspicious stares from the guest disciples since he never revealed himself before them, but when they noticed he was with Chi Cheng, they sneered at each other as if to say it's to be expected that the strange ones gather to meet with each other.

Heiyuan seated himself across Chi Cheng, certain that they could converse freely since none of the guest disciples wanted to share a table with them.
